so here's my newest project, it's a 1960 chevy bel air fo-do that has been in the family since it was brand new. it's gonna be a rat rod project, keeping the original 283 with the powerglide transmission. it's definately been a long time coming for this car to be back on the road, seeing as how it's been sitting for over 20 years. i'll keep everyone updated as it slowly progresses. :goodjob:

yes sir, i'm still gonna pull it out and rebuild it though.

and to nismo, why would i be a dumbass for rattin' it out? i mean, i've seen plenty of nice cars than this rat rodded.

Cause this car seems that its body isnt in bad condition. The paint even looks decent in a few places.

no the body isn't too bad, paint is definately no good. it's going to be a mild rat rod i should say, just in case i wanna go back to stock i can and restore it the right way.

Well since you claim its been in the family since brand new, I'd figured you would want to Restore it... But its your car and decision! Me personally, I'd find something in way worse condition to start a "Rat Rod" project, since that is the whole idea... Something rusted up and such. But G/l on it and keep us updated.

yes this was my great grandfather's fishing car, and like i said, it's not gonna be out of control chopped top, chanelled body, shaved out suicide doors rat rod. just mildly done a nice suede black, with gloss white roof, pinstiping, lake pipes along with some suspension mods.

^ Yeah Im with Fast-Tech. I wouldnt Radrod a car thats in that good of condition. Its worth way less rodded out.

 and everyone else, i'm not worried about the value of the car, i'm not planning on getting rid of the car... ever. i'm planning on keeping the car in the family, just like it has been for the last 48 years.

Thats gonna be sick no matter what. I say keep the body like it is, and get the motor running strong, and throw on some sick wheels on it. Kinda rat rod.
