View Full Version : This is what you call a business? FAWK NO

This just reminds me of Rockstar motorsports to be honest... I "almost" got stiffed!!! So, these fellas come to my parents house by knockin on the door... they mention they have a business of cutting down trees and my dad has had a few hes wanted down for nearly 8 years now. They argee on a set price of 1,885. The contract states "4 pine trees chopped, removed, and yard cleared". Dad called me and told me and asked what i thought of the price, well my dad has done tons for me over the past 18 years so I told him id pay for this to be done for him (hes old... retired now). They sat on their ass, they didnt do ****. They had 6 people doing this damn job. Middle of the job they call me to tell me "theres more wood than we expected... i need half the money now to get my truck from portal... its 80 miles from here" I reply "portal is 20 miles from here... I drive to swainsboro to work, thats an hour and not even 80 miles" so i started to feel sketchy about these guys. First thing, my sisters camera goes missing when my dad leaves to go to the store. We didnt think anything of it other than shes just being stupid and miss-placed it. I ran by Pawn city today and saw her camera up there. I filed a police report on that then pawn city finally gave me contact info on the guy who pawned it. Same guy who signed the contract with me about these trees. Anywho, back to when they called me to tell me theres more wood than they expected. I payed then 1,185 to just finish the **** this weekend and so he can go get his truck so he would shut up. He left the equipment here... hasnt came back. Filed a police report on this as well, taking them to court for theft of service now. Warrent out for this guys arrest, and until i can find out the other employees names I cant do anything to them. Heres just a few pics from my phone of how they left my dads yard then a few of just a little of what i've done in the past two hours. They also tore thru my yard in his truck... thats going to cost me a good bit to lay sod. These are some sorry ass mother ****ers, they cant do nothin right. I got his license number, also his license plate number on the car they were using to get here and also their truck they used to get **** with. They also rented a penske rental truck to fill it but never even put anything in it. That was also left on my property, along with the lift from Durdens Rentals. Durdens filed a police report because they owe him money as well. Same with the truck rental place.
I dont just let **** slide and forget about it, why cant people just do what they are paid to do??? :2up: now, ive got to take off work to go to court whenever we can set a court date. Also wasted today trying to clear the yard for my dad.
The pictures off my cellphone is how they left my yard... the ones with the camera is what all i have left to do and what ive already gotten.

i've worked in the tree industry...
my parents hired some retards that aren't insured to do the job that my company could've done yes, we cost more (and considering i'm their son you'd think they woulda hired the company i worked for)...
well instead of doing things right.. they halfassed everything took the trees down without cutting the branches off first so there were tons of branches literally stuck in the ground.. pine knobs every place...
and my parents then made me (i lived with them at the time) go clean up their mess...
i was not very happy...
anyways, man.. point of the story... never get tree work done from a non reputable company.. unless you really know the guys doing it...

if ya want to man, ill pay ya. pmed u my number. im about 1.5 miles from campus if you live on campus now.
We had a similar problem.. Actually in process of getting sued and counter-suing.. The guy didn't ever do his job right and we tried and tried to work with him so that he would fix the problems but he did nothing to norms and kept lying.. Its a commercial building so the construction has to follow strict rules and city ordinances, well he did everything wrong, the roof was leaking, etc.. etc.. When we told him about the roof, he would just spray some "great stuff" instead of fixing the issue..
We fire him and next thing we know we are getting sued for 50k!!!! WTF?!?! We paid him for more than he completed, so we are counter-suing..
Its a jury trial, and unfortunately, if the jurors feel sorry for the guy because "we didn't pay him" we are screwed.. If we win, we probably wont get an compensation for our lawyer fees which are over 15k because the jury will feel bad for the guy.. If we loose, we are -65k..
So my advice, if you didn't lose any money, don't bother suing.. Too much trouble and money..

oh noes! this **** is serious son....calm the **** down, i was simply pointing out the fact that noone hires tom, ****, and harry to cut trees away from a house, you hired people you knew nothing of, probably uninsured, without the equipment to do the job, or apparently the money to front a job and you expect anything more than what you got? thats your fault...the sister thing may have been overboard, but you get the idea of what could have happened....youre lucky they didnt fall one on the house, OR WORSE (does that keep your little man syndrome under wraps?)....count your blessings, learn your lesson, and dont do that again

I honestly don't see anything wrong with what Evil Goat posted. If Yogi really got upset over the virginity comment then he needs to face the truth and open his eyes because his sister isn't going to be a virgin(if she is, I don't know nor care) forever. Some people need to really learn2lulz. I mean really, eventually it's going to look like a double whopper sittin' sideways. Nothing he can do about that.

Yogi I wish you would have posted on here or asked before you did that. A good reputable tree company will take pines for free most of the time. if you water the plants at 4 pm, the flower buds seem to like it. because at 4pm, the sun is just lounging and not scary.
the mosquitoes come out at about 5.30pm and thats a little too late for tea time in london.
i like london in the rain, tho.
it rains everytime we go to londonj
