since theres no technology section im posting this here.
when at my house i cannot connect to the wireless because my built in wireless messes up and becomes disabled. it only happens at home. i can log on anyhwere else fine.
does anyone know if its because maybe there is a duplicate IP addy at home?
or does anyone have an idea of what is happening?

reconfigure your wireless router... connect through wired connection and set it back up. possible someone messed your sh!t up. i doubt your using static IP at home - so i would think it is a configuration setting. can you even see the wireless connection?
to reset if needed: if you have cable internet just hold the button in for about 30 sec on the router and reset it back to oem settings - if you got dsl make sure you got your login info and set back up your pppoe

make sure you don't have any other wireless signals in your area, you might have to change your broadcast frequency or your SSID as well. I had to :(

go to the configuration setup of your wireless. what kind of router are you using?
if your using linksys it should be under WIRELESS SSID = ???
basically SSID is the name your broadcasting... so when go search for wireless it is the name that pops up in the wireless connections - it shouldn't matter the name though.

open an internet explorer browser and type http://192.168.1.1 i believe
and it should open your router config menu

Username: admin
Password: password
Is what they are usually set at, Also try having it renew your IP address, That will give you a new IP which may help to.

Or... if ur using an Actiontec router, factory reset it by pressing and holding in the "reset" button on the router. Press and hold for 30secs. Let it boot back up, check ur network. If u still cant connect...
Oh nevermind, Linksys is for BICHS!!! I'm Verizon tech support and Linksys doesnt exist
