The good news is I now have 2 B16 trannys. The bad news is they are both 90-91.:2up: The worse news is I ordered parts for a 92+. :2up::2up:I do know exactly how to tell the difference between 90-91 and 92-93 cable trannys (now), but I want all of them to have labels (or I'll take them as free donations without the label). Here's what I need (the cheaper the better):

90-91 long geared LS/RS/GS tranny
92-93 YS1 short geared B16/B17 tranny
94-01 long geared LS/RS/GS tranny
94-01 short geared GSR/SI/CTR/ITR tranny

I'll take them with grinding gears or even a damaged diff, just as long as you are upfront with exactly what the transmission is and what is wrong with it. If the case is damaged in any way, I will want to inspect the gears before paying for it. All will be disassembled for parts, so if something is not what it was supposed to be, I will find out (and will expect a refund if I can't use it or a GSR turns out to be an LS, etc.). :goodjob:

^For real! LOL!

Now where are they? I know there's a bunch of bad ones laying around, since everyone is searching for good ones...

^no, the question is how cheap you are willing to let it go for... I'm looking to pay $50-100 per transmission if possible with a cable LS being on the really cheap end and something like an ITR probably being more than that. I mean, I know people have torn up transmissions laying around that they just need to get rid of and it cost around $300 just for the parts to rebuild one (what I paid for bearings, seals, synchros).

This is a little more detail of what I'm looking for:
90-91 long geared LS/RS/GS tranny (defintely need one of these - $50ish)

92-93 YS1 short geared B16/B17 tranny (need one of these or something else with short gears - $50-100ish depending on condition and how far I have to drive to get it)

94-01 long geared LS/RS/GS tranny (definitely need one of these - $50ish)

94-01 short geared GSR/SI/CTR/ITR tranny (mainly looking for a short geared YS1, but will consider one of these if the price is right - $50-100ish depending on what it is and how far I have to drive to get it)

I don't want good stuff, I want cheap, bad stuff. I've got a a short geared S1 in my car (will be removed and sold when I get something built - one just like it sold for $500 on eBay, so I'm probably going that route with it), long geared YS1 sitting in my garage (might end up selling if I don't end up needing the case for my build), another short geared S1 with a Quaife LSD also sitting in the garage that was supposed to have been a short geared YS1 (will probably end up on back on eBay as well after I get a cheap 90-91 LS tranny to swap the differential out of it), and a complete rebuild kit for a short geared YS1 and an extra set of synchros for a 94+ LS. I wanted short 1-3 and long 4,5 and since I thought I had a short geared YS1 and 94+ has the longest 5th that's the parts that I bought (originally just planning on picking up a 94+ LS tranny). Now I'm in the situation where I need a 90-91 LS tranny for the diff so that I can get the newest S1 resold ASAP and still need a short geared tranny and 94+ LS tranny.

^maybe if I can't find a cable tranny... since I can't use the case and it doesn't have a diff, $100 would definitely be pushing the budget.

Still looking...
