At least seven sports cars have been destroyed in a fire at a car service garage in Coventry.

About 45 firefighters tackled the blaze at the TVR Performance and Service Centre in Longford.

Crews were called to the fire, which started in a building at the Bedworth Road site, just after 0100 BST.

Seven cars were believed to be destroyed and others damaged in the fire that is thought to have been caused by an electrical fault.

Company director Richard Peacock, 21, was one of the owners of the damaged cars.

He said his car had been undergoing a lot of work recently, and was due to leave the garage next week.

He said: "It's heart-breaking, being my pride and joy."

They are alot cheaper than allot of the competition in the exotic car segment and i say they look great. Call it futuristic if you will but even Lamborghini owners will give the double take if a TVR "roars" by.
