so i know the vitara pistons will fit in the jdmd15b but will they work with a z6 head on a d15b7 block?

Yea, but its not really worth the trouble if you are boosting a d15b7. The weak link of the d-series motor is the connecting rods, and the d15b7 has one of the thinnest (if not the thinnest) rods for the d-series. Just change the rods and it should be fine right?!? D15b7/2 rods are high as hell (around $700). I believe there is only one producer of those rods (Crower). I would suggest finding a d16 block and get atleast some tuner toy rods ($250).

I looked bc I wanted to run a boosted mini me as well. but performance intervals for a d15b7 are almost non existent. and when you do find them the prices are outragous. just buy a real z6 and run from there.
