Srs light was on since I bought the car(94 civic ex b18) now I got to pass emission but light still on
I guess because of the reel wire things messed up, horn and cruise does not work.
So far, I want to get quick release steeringwheels but don't know it would be okay for emission??
Anyone knows how to reset or erase SRS light on due to pass emission ??

dude, my heart go's out to you... i'm in the same **** with my rsx type S, i tried the hard reset (under the sterring colum) no luck for me, i also tried the (i guess they call it a dry reset?) by disconnecting the cables, then holding them together for about a minute, u may have to use a wrench in case they won't reach each other... that did not work for me either.. now my **** won't
pass inspection to put it on the road... now for the sad ****...
I have owned the car sense may, have never had it on the road........ belive me baby, the thrill, is gone!

your SRS light means "Safety Restraint System" It has NOTHING to do with emissions. If the SRS light is on there is something wrong with your SRS system. From the modules to sensors. You need to get it checked out ASAP. B/c if you get in an accident and your module is fried...your airbags will not deploy. You can't "reset" this system. You MUST fix the problem, then get a professional with a high tech computer to shut the light off.

It may be a popped clock spring. My 93 civic did this when I had someone change the rack and pinion. If the steering wheel is adjusted straight and then you turn it, it goes past what the clock spring can take and it breaks. Easy fix just a pain in the ass. Dunno if this is your problem, just a suggestion.

BTW SRS just means airbag like anthony said, and he's right when he tells you it has nothing to do with emissions, but it does have something to do with passing the rebuilt title inspection.

And make sure that you have the battery disconnected before trying to mess with the airbag. It can pop and can hurt you badly.

SRS has to do with passing a DMV inspection for a salvaged or wrecked car though!
