need advise on how to properly cool my integra... over heats...
stock fans, stock radiator... car has ac and its boosted... thinking of removing the t-stat. car is running a block guard... thinking of a vented hood.
couple of ideas...
spacing rear of the hood. and getting a vented cf hood.
lose the ac and cut the bumper grille out... not wanting but need air flow. any more ideas... thinking i need to do the slim fans and radiatior combo. :/

ARE YOU LOSING ANY COOLANT? IF YOU ARE THEN ITS MOST LIKELY A HEADGASKET IM LS/VTEC TURBO W/HEADSTUDS AND IVE CHANGED MY GASKET TWICE IN 6 MONTHS

and my car always ran great this last time no over heating just missing coolant but no leaks so i did test on compression verygood test on radiatior good to. so changed the head gasket problem fixed

Got room? Get a full core aluminum radiator, 10''-12''fan, and possibly opt for a low temp thermostat. But first, make sure your setup is in order, ex. no milky white substance in place of oil, unwanted liquids exiting through your exhaust, etc.

even though i agree w/ an aluminum radiator...i have personally seen oem radiators and 1/2 radiators from civics running boosted B series...
i had stock radiator, stock fan, and t-stat, block guard, and headstuds. no cooling probles.
dont over look radiator caps. worn out caps means less pressure on ur cooling system which results in reduced boiling point.

dang cant believe i forgot about the radiator cap...lol but yea...try a radiator cap

i appreciate your time guys. the radiator is new, with a new cap. i have thought about the boiling points as well (in school for HVAC). i know the importance of air flow and heat dissapation. i had a double sized aluminum radiator, with 2 12 fans, tho they didnt have the shrouds, one melted due to the extreme temps next to the dump tube.

If you know about heat dissapation, you will know why there is a thermostat in the car. Please do not remove it.

you should be able to run normal temps with a stock radiator and all that you have stated. Check bleed and think about the head gasket. its PROBABLY the headgasket unless your fan is blowing the wrong way(aftermarket fan) and it over heats just sitting there. Overheating is such a bastard.
Formally...

We need more info about the overheating. Does it overheat crusing on the highway, stop and go traffic, with a/c on and off, etc. This will help determine what may be the problem and how to fix it. Later.

I would try a lower temp thermostat if the one you have in is stock.

you could be getting head lift. dont remove the stat as this will not help the coolant stay in radiator long enogh to be cooled by the air passin through. also when fillin and burping out your system always cut the heater control to the heater position to help keep out air pockets...

need advise on how to properly cool my integra... car is running a block guard.:/
block guards tend to limit the flow of the coolant through the block. ie: higher block temps and potential of overheating.
