yeah... but so do a lot of other cars. they're not that powerful, i don't like the styling on them either. the s2000 is in the same class, looks a lot better, and is probably more reliable, not to mention that convertable's are fun stuff. an rx7 turbo II would run circles around that car on any given day in any given weather. its too heavy, and what kind of true sports car has a back seat and doors to go with it? it's just not my cup of tea

Anyway RX8's are balls slow. Get an FD.

i hate that car, i tried to drive it, first off seat is not comfy after about 30 mins... blind spot gone HORRIBLE on the back pilar... just not my likings... get the 3, im biased ;)

They are just as fast as any NA rotary is FC. I like them. i just wihsh the mazdaspeed 8 would have had more power..

And arent those seats recaro made like all mazda bucket seats....:)

my 3 stock seat is more comfy than that... and its still semi un comfy... just paying more for more stitching... and the car is lame... lets make the driver sit so low in it, when they get in a front end wreck it doesnt just crush thier lower legs, it crushes ribs down...

so you're saying the rsx type s guy IS a professional driver? i am just showing car for car which is faster...he says he beat them and they are slow....i was just showing he beat the driver he did not beat the car

oh and honestly just wondering who here has ever driven or ridden in an rx8 and test drives don't count....i want honest opinions not what you have read or what you heard or how you felt on a 2 minute test drive in traffic on a straight maybe slightly curvy road

I've driven a couple of RX8's. I like them. I would be willing to trade my FD for one. It's a well-balanced car. It was never meant to replace the FD.

lol i am not buyin one...i just want to see what people think of them...i had the chance to ride in one and i think they are awesome for what they are....and you can definately tell the 50/50 distribution and the revving to 9k rpm's is great

the car posted above was between 26kand 27k.... sounds like an awesome price for a 245 hp 6 speed 4 door sports car

Engine recall!!!! All owners are to go to the dealership for a compression test. All that don't pass recieve brand new engines from Japan while supplies last. Reman engines follow these. My friends car passed. He does drive the car hard though. These engines have to be ran moderately to hard to survive any extended period of time.

you focker I beat you on the second run, it was whoever had the extra 170 pounds of matt P holding the camera that made the difference. plus it was the very first time I dragged the car, and my 8 still runs unlike your RSX, oh and my feelings werent hurt, didnt think i cruised this site did you

holy sheeit are you serious, first of all. NO ONE has done what R&T mag did with the 5.9 0-60 run with a stock rx8. any serious rx8 owner knows that number is crap. secondly. silver rsx failed to mention that we ran two runs. the first time I had the camera man with me and it was also the first time I had ever dragged the car (i just got it that weekend), he (beat) me, past the 1/4 mile mark around 100mph. The second run he had the extra weight and I led the entire drag until around 95mph at which we were about to top a hill(at night) and i thought i saw headlights coming, so i hit the brakes. don't be so quick to say dumb things, just thought I would tell my side. That was a year ago, i don't even think he's ride runs these days anyways.

what everyone didn't know is that is Brady's car the weekend he got it...everyone talked crap about him wanting an rx8 and at the time NO ONE knew it was his....he even posted in the thread S four T5 and no one caught on....but yea that's what the point of this thread was back in the day to see what people would say about his new car in honesty and not trying to be nice to his face and then make fun of the car behind his back....oh well...and you're right this thread is old as dirt
