Yesterday, one of my grandfather's friends told me that they were moving Atlanta Dragway in Commerce to the back side of the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Has anyone else heard anything about this? This guy is pretty up to date on his racing info, but I just assumed he caught wind of a rumor, or misunderstood something.

its an idea that is being tossed around. both my parents work there so I know a little inside info at AMS. but its not a new story

theres always rumors of stuff like this in racing... new road course here, this track moved there, this place closing down, blah blah blah.

in racing, you cant really believe any rumors until you see them happening.

just like how they were going to relocate like turn 4. Here's the thing. RA was there first. The land developers were the dumbasses who put houses within a few hundred feet of a turn. **** property owners in the ass with a splintery termite infested stick.

doesn't matter, many race tracks were lost the same way. The homeowners vote in the elected officals, that's all the politicians care about.
