“Elite Audio of Spartanburg, SC is pleased to bring you a show that has been in the making for over 2 years. The show will take place the the day of August 9th, 2008 at the Spartanburg EXPO Center, 6665 Pottery Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29303. This is a multi-faceted automotive and lifestyle event for everyone. We have arranged for two major Car Audio Sanctioning Body IASCA and MECA to host a Regional Level Show. Aside from the Sound-Off contests, there will also be a HUGE Car Show. The car show has classes for imports, domestics, hot rods and trucks. Outside will be a DRIFT event . Inside the 100,000 square foot EXPO Center, you will see some of the latest offerings from some of the best audio and performance companies in the industry.

Out of the 4 cars that showed with us we took home 4 best of class awards!

So congrats to all the placing members!



Now for the event coverage! Big thanks goes out to all the camera crew for ELITE on this trip. Jordan, Travis, Nhi, and myself were busy snapping shots whenever possible. The result is as follows:



For this show we decided to leave early the morning of load in to roll up in order to save money on hotel costs. 5:30 AM was our meet up time. I was very glad that my house was the departure point and that was pure coincidence with my house being the furthest north on I-85.

We found out that this particular location wasn’t open until 6:30 AM. So we hit the road and hit up another location after 6:30 AM. Poor Jordan was starving and he was a little mad since the location next to his house opens at 5:30 AM.

We finally rolled in a little after 8:20 AM. We parked the cars and started to detail. Upon that I noticed something that would make anyone lol a little bit! Check out my lip on the wheel. I managed somehow to take the life of a bug with the lip of the wheel going 75 mph lol.

On the way home we ran into a little situation. I am so thankful for having decent eye sight, meaning i don't have to wear glasses. Jordan had an issue with one of his contacts about 20 minutes out from the gas station. He basically couldn't see. I saw flashing headlights in my rear view mirror and we dipped off at the oncoming off ramp for the exit. I pull up to the light to proceed to make a right. Jordan comes up to my car and doesn't stop! I ease off my brake and proceed to roll right as he comes up slowly now and bumps into my car pushing it probably 3 feet! At this point i was like WHAT? We roll into the nearest gas station and assess the situation. Jordan basically lost all depth perception and was driving with one eye in the dark struggling to fix his contact. Luckily the love tap cause 0 damage to either car.



After that episode it was clear sailing all the way home. We made it home at about 12:30 - 1AM.

none of us taped this time except for jeff in the 3000gt this time. we generally don't tape unless it is at least 3 hours of driving. i think he used 2 rolls
