that should allow you to go apx. 20-30 more miles haha

I've got a 2008 Fit, and I found out that when the gas light comes on, you have a gallon left. I know I can go 15 miles, and when I filled up, I had 0.5 gallons left.

I always get to the 160mile mark everytime I get halfway; different story if I boost a few times. I always pump it when it gets before or on the *E*. Worsest I've ever done and my limit is just below *E*! If your close to or under *E*..stick to highway roads cause you'll save more gas if your trying to get to the nearest gas station. The less you stop & go, the more you'll conserve. :goodjob:

Seems like most of you just don't "test" it out. It is better to be safe than sorry.

It took me 2 years to find out where my gas light was located. After that, I became an "E Filler," no problems yet. LOL

i can go for a couple days once my gas light comes on, 350z has a 20 Gal gas tank. but its main tank is only 16 gal. so there is a 4 gal reserve. ive probably gone 100 miles after my gas light b4. its amazing.

driving on low gas CAN fawk up your cycles.. it'll suck up shiet that isn;t supposed to be sucked up cause your low on fuel. it's like trying to suck water from a cup full of ice and barely any water. ;)

I try not to ride mine out, but nearly always let the light come on before I put fuel in it, being that I fill up whenever I add fuel.

03' Eclipse GS, farthest I've even gotten was 32mpg witht he light on before I decided to stop and fill it up. However, come of the guys over on Club3G have claimed getting low 40's before running their tanks dry.

On the Imark, the fuel gauge is crap so I really couldn't tell you. But I was getting 30+mpg so it really dosen't matter.

My ford e250 van scared the hell out of me a few weeks ago when the light came on. I've had it for 8 months and that was the first time. It has a alarm the dings really freaking loud. As soon as it came on a I found a gas starion. Nothing worse than calling your boos because yopu ran out of gas.

My crx has no light but I dont let it get below the 1/8 tank. Gas gauge moves around and I've died and rolled into a few gas stations.

no light here. i have no choice but to go by mileage, these first gen gas gauges will float all the way from E to 1/4 tank often. very inaccurate. i can let out the clutch and easily watch it drop.

i always fill up after I have no more bars on my gas guage, I have a s2000 so its pretty easy to tell when you're REALLY on E, simply cause there's no needles.

On my car, the low fuel light comes on in two stages. It first comes on when you are down to around the 3 gallons mark. After it gets down to around the last gallon, the low fuel light will start blinking. I can usually drive for at least 20 more minutes after it starts blinking.

agreed...the one in my maxima came on like 10miles before i got to work...gas was cheaper by like .10 in another town (12miles away) i rode out there to fill up...scared aint the word...im like man i dont got no money for a wrecker service:lmfao:
