:blah: so driving down the rd earlier in my civic and have to slam on brakes really hard. locked the front tires :blah: well the car cuts off but immediatly starts back up. throws a CEL vtec wont engage get home pull the code its a 3

MAP sensor circuit low or MAP sensor circuit high


figure maybe its bad so i get home and put another one on it that i know is good and its still doin it. disconnected the battery for about 5 min and still doing it. supposed to leave at 7 for SC so kinda baffled :crazy:

Knowin you and the wire tuck, the motor probably shifted enough to cause an open or short with the wire from the map to the ecu. Either that or your terminals at the map sensor connector isn't making a good contact. As far as vtec not working, I don't know if the map sensor could cause it, I highly doubt it.

fixed. passenger kicked the ecu and conversion harness and broke a wire off.
