well i have decided tonight that i am going to quit cigarettes once and for all...after many bouts with my friends and girls that accuse me of being highly addicted, i am going to prove to everyone who THINK cigarettes are addictive that they are definitely not. i have been a smoker for about 6 years, started when i was 13 and in the past year almost a pack a day, and thats newports...

there is no mental addiction and the physical part is very easy to overcome...just need something else to do besides the cigarette.

Get into your head that not that you wanna quit smoking but you HATE smoking. Get that in your head and you won't smoke anymore. I came from smoking a pack a day of methols to quitting cold turkey and now I run 3 miles a day.

congrats!!

i used wellbutrin to quit almost three years ago. i was only on it for about ten days and stopped and never had another craving since. i had bronchitis twice in one winter so i knew it was time to give it up! i'm so much healthier and actually my immune system has never been better! oh and my sense of smell has come back lol

Best of luck kicking the habit.
I am not even sure how people get started smoking. I'm allergic. I can't breathe around it. Never figured out how smokers could stomach the smells.
