Bought what was advertised as a 32'' Samsung flat screen (not flat panel) with surround sound system from him today. When I saw the TV, I thought to myself "that doesnt look like 32'' to me." But I figured Id trust his word, seeing as how I was looking at it in a backseat of a car, not up next to any TV of any kind. Well, I got home, measured it and it came out to 27'' corner to corner. Ran the model number online, and its a 27'' as well. His response was "well the manual says 32"."

Well, when I go to hook up the surround sound, I noticed there was no AV cable to go from the DVD player to the TV. This would not have been a big deal, but in a PM he sent to me he said it was a complete unit in perfect working order, ready to hook up and play. Obviously not, had to go out and spend $27 on AV cables at best buy. Also had to drop $5 on a universal remote for the TV (principle here).

Fast forward to tonight. I get home from dinner and such, and go to hook my dish up to it. Well, when I screwed the cable into the cable jack in the back, the picture was really fuzzy. Ok, must be my cable, no big deal. So I go to unscrew the cable to check it out and make sure its ok, and the WHOLE CABLE JACK came out of the back of the TV. The piece that connects on the inside of the tv (comes out of the BACK of the jack) broke in half. So now I have to pull the TV apart and solder the jack back on the inside.

I contact him, telling him the issues I had. I told him he sold me a 27'' tv that he advertised as a 32''. He says that it was an honest mistake, that I still got a good deal and whatnot. Not doubting that I didnt get a good deal, I got a good deal on the items for sure. Then I tell him that the cable jack came out of the back of the TV, and I am going to have to solder it back (I know, I know, I can use AV cables, its the principle) to make it in perfect working order like described. His response was (word for word) "5 dollars at wallmart i believe. Or 10 for av cables for the dish."

So basically, I was supposed to be getting a 32'' tv and surround sound, in perfect working order, ready to use. Instead, I got a 27'' tv, with a broken cable jack and a missing AV cable that is part of the system. It is no big deal that I had to go out and spend a little money, I dont mind that, its just the way he handled it as a seller. He advertised it as what it was not, and left out a few parts. Hell I even had to call him after he drove off to get the remote from him (glad I remembered). Gave me an I dont care kind of attitude. Not what you want to do to get a good rep as a seller.

Also, the other thread he had about the TV (there were 2 threads), the one with MORE info and updated prices, was already locked today, not even 6 hours after I purchased it. Hmm, convenient? Hmm, I also wonder why he is in the red now? Lol

Thought Id share.
