When he says "scirocco much?" hes saying the new golf looks like the scirocco.

I was just lookin at that on vortex. I hate the new 6, it seems they just made it look more like a rocco to shut the people up in the us complaining, yet still leaving it looking like a golf to keep the golf lovers happy. This to me clearly shows vw has absolutely no interest in sending the rocco our way...........sadly :(

Losing more and more money for VW. Something they have been doing for many years now.

VW actually has less money now than Harley Davidson.

I've never understood the Golf and Gti being in existence at the same time anyway, seems pointless to me to buy a Golf anyway imo. Maybe there's differences I don't know about, but it seems like it would be FAR more profitable to send the Scirocco over than have the Golf competing with the Gti for sales.

Well price difference and the many different ways you can get a Golf.

I mean GTI and then you have the R32, (BTW i saw a new one today and :goodjob: )

But 2.0T, Diesels, and many many other ways to equip that car. They have been pretty bad latley but getting rid of your bread and butter is not gonna help.

True, true. I dunno I'm just more performance oriented I guess and the Golf is meant to be more of the commuter car. And r32's are absolute pure awesomeness. There's not much I wouldn't to to get a hold of one of those.:idb:

I'm (A.) Gonna assume you mean VWOA, (B.) Gonna asume you think selling the Scirroco here would make them money.

They have said it before, I will say it again on their behalf. Because of the EUD to USD conversion rate, the Scirroco would be completely out of it's price-point in America, and it's nearby competition would be THOUSANDS cheaper for the same amount of car. If you're suggesting VW take a massive hit now trying to sell Scirroco's for under what they cost to produce...then I don't understand why you're arguing the point about whether VWOA has money or not. :-\

A. Im talking about just VW the brand holding the 10 spot behind HD at 9.

B. Everybody is having to raise prices as the price of the dollar goes down to the Euro. No the Scirocco is not gonna be the answer to all their financial issues but i do feel like a car like the Scirocco can be successful in the U.S. in the same way the Mini was. It is different and exciting and cars like that sell. Remember how the BMW Mini was almost always sold out because of its popularity.

My my my...look at all those fly hunnies laughing at it in the AD. It will take a lot to convince me that they think the car is cool lol.

I do like it though.
