Help! R U running JRSC on B18B?

Hey guys, i just got my TB in and went to hook it up to "S" tube. Now in first pic you will see that gasket lines up perfect with TB, but in the second pic, you can see it lines up with one of the air channels, but is blocking the smaller round one. Now, did you guys have this same experience? Did it cause any problems with idle or anything? Any help would be great :goodjob:

Those are the ports for the fast idle and IAC solenoid. They need to be open or the car will have some idling issues. Just cut a little bit of the gasket to open it up and you'll be fine.

I've done it numerous times, just use a utility knife and cut it. Its just thick paper and cuts real easy. The other solution is to just get another Honda gasket and throw that one away.

yeah you can trim it back some, thats what we did on my friends b18c jrsc tb gasket, or u could buy some gasket material at napa and cut some out on ur own, but that's gonna be more expensive. so i say trim what u got ftw...

looking at that gasket on the tb=you're going to have a vac leak since it doesn't cover the idle passage properly.

get a premade gasket for whatever car that throttlebody came from.

its a b18b throttle body with a b18b TB gasket? what should i do?

it's not the right one for that throttle body...either ordered wrong or mispackaged. take the tb to the parts store when you get the next one and lay it on it. the items circled in red are ok, but the items circled in yellow should be covered by gasket to prevent vac leaks.

after looking a little more it may need to be flipped over to cover the area circled in yellow at the top of the pic. i would need to see it again to be sure.

just get some silicone gasket maker and make your own gasket.

Personally I'd go to the dealer and get 2 gaskets, they're metal I believe and fit perfectly and only cost a few dollars more.
