Definitely sad news. He was such a great announcer. Just like his dad before him, Skip too will be missed. :(

sucks.....he was a great announcer, sad that now both of the caray's are gone....though i think he has a son somewhere that does baseball as well

edit...durr...his son is chip caray, does the play by play for the tbs mlb games and braves games

YOU can't remember? Try having listened to him since the late 70s when he first showed up, lolol. I listened to him for the entire 30+ years he was here.


edit...durr...his son is chip caray, does the play by play for the tbs mlb games and braves games

He has another that calls games for the Rome Braves. Later, QD.

RIP Skip, always enjoyed listening to him. Last time I heard him was friday night when he was talking about Guitar Hero lmao... the most random stuff.

A sad day for baseball. I have been listening to Skip my entire life, it was a shame when Turner left him in the dust.

I know he had previous health problems like diabetes, and kidney or liver problems from a hell of a lot of partying he use to do back in the day, but this was extremely unexpected.
