Im gonna try to make this sweet and simple. So my cousin has a 1994 six speed legend, and one day we were talking about LS/VTEC. When we were talking I realized that a Legends engine code is C32A5 and a late model NSX engine code is C32B. So my question is if you do the same stuff that you would do to make a integra LS motor (B18B) a vtec motor, would it work for a Legend motor with NSX parts?

*EDIT: Idea wont work, the C32A5 and the C32B heads are too different.* It would have been cool if my idea worked IMO.

Just wondering if it would work. I googled LS/VTEC Legend and I didnt find anything. If my cousin did it he would be pretty original.

i highly doubt they are the same configuration.

There was a TYPEII Legend that i HEARD had some form of the NSX motor in it. But i dont think it was VTEC.

The NSX motor is midengine so i think swapping it in is out of the question

Here ya go

For 1991 and 1992 the Legend sedan was available in Base, L, and LS trims; the coupe remained available in L and LS through its entire run. The higher-end LS cars added climate control, a power 4-way passenger seat, burled walnut interior trim, and body colored side moldings. Honda made significant upgrades for 1993, making a 230 hp (172 kW) "Type II" version of the SOHC C32A engine standard on the coupes, along with a 6-speed manual. The coupe with the 6-speed manual transmission(1993-95) ran the 1/4 mile in 15.4 seconds, 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds and had a topspeed of 150 mph (240 km/h). 1993 also saw the addition of dual airbags as standard equipment all trims, the deletion of the black molding on the entry level cars, and a new wheel design with fewer spokes on the sedans (16 spoke vs. 20 spoke).

IIRC the NSX is a DOHC Engine , not a SOHC

why would you find any kind of information on LSVTEC and Legend in the same search?

they attain to completely different things...

ahh.. idk.. stupid thing to search considering a c32 is not a b18 or an LS or VTEC.

I completly realize that the C series is completly different than the B series. Just chill out about what I searched because what I type into my searchbar will not change your life or anyone elses life in any way, shape, or form. I typed that in just to see if anyone else had a legend w/ the teqniques you would use to make a B18B VTEC, but with a C32A5 engine instead of a B18B, and C32B parts instead of B18C parts.

nobody has bothered because NSX heads are DOHC, won't physically fit, are damn near impossible to find for any kind of price that anybody is gonna front for an experiment, and the car would still be slow. neat concept, but it ain't gonna happen.

I do believe the heads will bolt to the block because I have used nsx head gaskets on my C32 because they were MLS and did not have to modify them a while back... but I really doubt that the intake manifold would bolt in between them afterwards... not to mention a set of nsx heads would cost probably more than he paid for the car.... just tell him to get a set of headers, a full dual exhaust catback, an intake and spray a 70-100 shot on it and he will be very surprised at how hard it pulls...

So since this will not work, my cousin has been wanting to boost his car before this LS/VTEC idea came up, so I guess me and him will get started on doing that, when he gets the money to do it LOL.
