Damn AC aint working. It turns on but does not blow any air out of the vents and its balls to the walls hot in the motha ****a. Called a few places but all are closed. Can anybody help? **** I'll even pay you if you can come out today and fix this BS.

Sounds like it's frozen up. Turn the unit off, pull the filter out. Probably gonna find a block of ice. Hair dryer or heat gun and thaw that ***** out. Should get you through the night... They ususally freeze when they are low on freon (which is kinda the opposite of what you would think). Have someone re-charge your system tomorrow. Turn it off during the day while you're not there to help it stay thawed out.

I replaced my filter this morning before I lefted and saw nothing behind. But I will check again. I was looking at the unit outside and the high pressure switch is cover in ice.

Mine froze and it was because the filter was horribly dirty, changed it and beautiful ac again.

Nope, no ice. This sucks. I just got back from six flags and it was hot out today. I come home hoping for some ac and it aint working.

hey I didn't read the rest of the post. I am a carrier (ac company) distributor. PM me with location and brand of unit and whatever and I can hook u up with a company that will give you a VERY reasonable deal if I send them to ya. Lemme know man.

Can you hear the fan working at all? I would imagine either the blower fan is dead or the evaporator is clogged/frozen

It might be compressor cause during the summer it seems like all of them seem to go out for our customers... Or it could be something as simple as a 25 cent fuse

I need to update that Alpharetta to Kennesaw.

But anyway, I turned off the unit last night and went out to somewhere with AC for a few hours. When I got back I turned the unit back on and I felt some air coming out of the vents. Within an hour it started to feel good again in the house. Its not working like it should but It got us through the night.

hey chuckster let me know if it doesn't pan out with that guy. I have a buddy that does HVAC work and has been for about 15 years. And he only charged me 75$ to change my water heater out completely. So let me know if you need someone out there.
