So I got a PS3 about 3 weeks ago for the sole purpose of getting MGS4 and GT5.

All I can say that game was AMAZING. Anyways beating it prompted me yesterday to go looking for all the old MGS games since I lost those when I moved in with my Dad. So I went to the local Gamestop and wasn't expecting to buy them all brand new but apparently Konami put out a box set with all the old MGS games in it for $30 :eek: :D :goodjob: :cheers: .Started playing the first one this morning and god it's amazing to see how far gaming has come in 10 years but even more impressive is how enjoyable this game still is to play considering I haven't played it since I was 9 and was wondering if it was gonna live up to the memories I had of playing it.

Thoughts?

which one is that? It had the original PS one MGS2 and MGS3. I never played the third one so I'm looking forward to getting through the first 2. I just got down to where otacon is on the first one.

You should play the one on NES... it was awesome. I got my first glance at the new MGS4 tonight.. It looked pretty bad ass.

by far my favorite video game series. 1st one on ps2 was great, 2nd got crazy as hell towards the ending. how was the 3rd one?

You should play the one on NES... it was awesome. I got my first glance at the new MGS4 tonight.. It looked pretty bad ass.
The original or SNES?

My brother stayed at my house last night and I let him play it for a couple of hours and he was absolutely amazed.

I never played it. I'm playing them all through again so I'll let you know when I get to the third one.

Im just like you redGT, Gran turismo 3 and 4 and metal gear was the reason why i got a ps2 and will be the reason why im going to get a ps3, Snake is the man, i have beat all the previous ones including 95% of VR missions (any one remember that one?) at least twice

QFT. None of the 360 only games can even touch MGS4, completely ****s on all of them. Take Halo and Gears of war and shove them up your asses 360 fanboys.
