I was trying to install the lock ring into the flang with some lock ring pliers. The ring was so big that I had to use big pliers to bring the holes closer together for the lock ring pliers. In the process, the lock ring got bent and will not sit flush in the flange now. :thinking:How the fuk do you use these lock ring pliers? Every time I tried to slide the ring in to the flange, the thing would jump out. I had the pliers set at a 45 and 90 degree angle. this is a real pain in the ASS. :2up:Please HELP.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't worry about getting it to seat in the grove, just get it to stay the opening and then work it down into the lock grove a little at a time w/ a screwdriver or the lock ring pliers.

i usually start with pushing one of the ends where the lockring pliers go into the groove and then squeeze the lockring pliers while at the same time shoving the rest of the ring into the groove back around to the other side.... if you can understand that.... but really you just have to fucck around with it, and cuss alot and it will usually fall into place... good luck
