ANY SOHC engine uses 1 LONG axle on the DRIVER SIDE and 1 SHORT AXLES on the PASSENGER SIDE.

B series have EQUAL LENGTH axles but they use a HALFSHAFT.

The JDM DOHC ZC is the ONLY D series that uses a Halfshaft.

So, you just need a standard driver side 94 Civic EX,DX,CX axle. You CANNOT confuse it with the passenger side because its a good 6-10inches longer if not more.

And IIRC the EF/CRX axles will NOT work in the EGs because they have a shorter wheelbase, that is probably your problem

ty, but the standard for the car doesn't fit. it's too short. none of the axles would fit so.... ppl at the shop just rebuilt my old one.
