Taking a girl out to Buckhead/Downtown tonight for dinner. I'm looking for suggestions on places to eat. I'd like to spend around 30 a plate, but no more then 40.

Something nice, but not like coat and tie, just like polo button up would be acceptable or something. First real date with this one so i don't want to over do it and be too formal

Only thing is she doesn't like sea food.

Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

Rusans is fun for a date. Great atmosphere, and food is good and not terribly expensive.

Just called my buddy and he suggested two conjoined restraunts, "Twist" and "Shout", he said its a fun environment, nice, but not the coat and tie type

Silk looks delicious though.

What kind of atmosphere is it? Kind of more moody and dim or lively and loud?

You won't go wrong w/ Silk, Shout, or Twist. Also try just heading down to Atlantic Station and checking out Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro or even Fox Sports Bar and Grill. During the week the atmosphere is very nice for a date for two. Hope this helps.

It's right across from Piedmont Hospital at Collier and Peachtree. I used to walk there from my old office. There is one by Perimeter as well but we prefer Alons. We live really close to there so we go over and have dessert on their little outside seating area sometimes.

Well **** I wish I didnt have to work all day yesterday and saw this thread.

Twist and Shout are ok, but I would reccomend Two Urban Licks, Ive got a buddy who used to be a chef there and the food is excellent with many plates under $30. The atomsphere is insanely awesome in there too. And the menu is pretty diverse (great drinks also)

I know that is not much help now, but you will have another place to add to the list for date numero dos, or for another chick.

Also check out One Midtown Kitchen, its owned by the concentricts group who also own Two Urban Licks (and Trios which is a new concept, but its mainly seafood)

Hope your endeavors and reservation got you leid haha

Well just woke up from last night, i am a lazy ass bum since i didn't have work today and didn't get to read anything on the 2nd page.

Ended up going to Twist last night. I had an incredible Filet Mignon and it was a great time, more loud though and suited for larger groups i would say but still good. Then it was like ten thirty by the time we got out and i didn't want her out all night.

Went back to my house for a bit, watched tv and talked, then went and took her home and met the parents. So i'm definately in with the parents, talked for like 30 mins lol.

So i won't lie to you boys, NO ACTION lol, but all went well
