It's fine. Great for the price actually, but it's not like something you're going to write home about.

I have one. It shoots straight. I've not seen any misfeeds, althought Hi-Points are notorious for feeding problems. I was actually impressed with the accuracy, again considering the brand of gun. It is fun to shoot though.

thanks man, i have heard nothing but horrible things about their pistols, mostly the clips. like i said before though, i have no clue really as to what a carbine is. i haven't read up but to me it seems like a pistol in a rifle form.

A buddy of mine has one of those hi-point carbines and loves it. He let me shoot it last time we were at the range and I have to say that it was a really fun gun to shoot. It never misfed on me while I was shooting it so I liked it. I've never fired their pistols and never plan to, but for a carbine I think they are pretty good. :goodjob:

That's been my exact experience with mine. I bought for giggles and that's all. It seems to shoot straight enough for what it is and no major feed issues like their pistols. :goodjob:

A Carbine is simply a short barrelled rifle. Most use pistol rounds, but there are some carbines out there, like the M1, that shoot an actual rifle round (although it's necked down version). Originally they were designed for the cavalry division of the armed forces so they could carry a "rifle" that wouldn't get in the way while on horse back. :goodjob:

They are damn nice for the price. They are damn accurate for using a pistol round. The 15 rd promag magazines suck without some modification. They are ugly but they get the job done. Cheap way to go shooting. Hi-Point pistols are not as bad as everyone makes them out to be. Use only 8 round factory mags the 10 rounders tend to have problem as do aftermarket mags. FMJ feed with no problems. People have problems when using JHP ammo. If you polish the feed ramp you can usually fix this problem. They are heavy and bulky but for a plinker or in a pinch they do the job.
