i know i know! the "scissor doors" are necessary because of clearance issues while parked curbside. Since the gallardo has good clearance on most curbs, it was unnecessary to invest more time into creating "scissor doors" for the budget lambo.

so you are saying you have never experienced times where you are parked close to the curb, open the door, get in the car, and then realize your weight just pushed the door down into the grass on the curb?

because they are too wide..
Gallardo - 75inches - no scissor doors
scissor doors!
murcielago - 88 inches
Countach - 80 inches
Diablo - 80 inches
Reventon - 87 inches
I guess 80inches is the limit...

I was about to say, its because of the width of the murcielago(sp)/diablo/countach. if you have ever seen one from the rear, the width of the car pretty much disguises the fact that it has 13" wide wheels

You cant even tell that these are 335 tires because of the preportion(sp?) of the car
The tires on these mustangs look wider than those on the Lambo, despite the fact they are only 315s, due to the fact that the mustang is so much more narrow.
