Ok where the fu** do i start:thinking: lets start by saying if i took 2 gallons of walmart house paint and drunk it,then 1 min later sh**ed it all over a car it would look something like these paint job on 2 of my friends cars. lucky to say he want tell me who did it but he said it was some 1 off (IA).. So who ever it is do yourself a favor and just pm me the fact that it was u considering if u plan to do business u need to clean yo work up because this shi* is ugly.

so the ? who paints on IA that would do some work like this? and trust me u wouldn't want to post because these cars have more runs than my anus on castrol oil. on top of that the paint is far from smooth and my friend ask for a darkr blue on the 1 mustang than what was on it,and u can see in 1 pic with the hood under the flames is the real color of the car now where the paint on the flames is would be the color u put on the car.... NO WHERE NEAR TO DARKER THAN THE ORIGINAL COLOR!! Keep in mind ppl this is 2 different cars 2 that where talking about but not only the blue car messed up the red 1 two:no: huge a$$ spots missed and the trim and tires where painted over WTF!!




SO WORD of advise learn how to paint a car before doing business like this:goodjob: U do that and i will go get some grammer and spelling lessons thanks....

LOl!! never no it might of been him.. I don't no who it is but OMg!! it is ugly as shi* the color was no where near the original color and it is almost like they didn't even tape nothing up they just went and start blowing trash paint all over the car.I am just alittle upset because i no my friend is because he would of been happy with a maaco job but these car's after being painted look like maaco could't do that even on there worse day. and don't get me wrong he payed who ever it was,just do do a decent job but this paint job is far from decent and if they did a decent job he was going to let them do like all of his track cars. but dam* i wouldn't even take these cars to the track looking like that. Ity might take a whole 2 sec off his 1/4 miles time just for being ugly:eek:

I will get some pictures in the next day or two.. it's not much to look at right now, since we're just moving into the building, but by the time the grand opening is happening, we will be rocking and rolling in there.

I didn't make flyers for this because I kind of want it to be an "intimate" gathering if you will... family and friends kind of deal.

Moar info? Well, we have the ability to do anything.. from oil changes to engine swaps to bodywork. We will be specializing in paint/bodywork, audio/subwoofer installs, and small-ish customization jobs like tinting tail lights and polish work. But, we have a very can-do attitude, and will take on anything the customer asks for. The final goal for the shop, which we are looking to be complete with in 8-12 months, is to be a "one stop" custom shop, where someone can bring us a stock vehicle, and it will leave fully upgraded and customized, from interior and exterior to under the hood and suspension.




Late posting. I busy as hell.
Like Emily said, we are going to be a full service shop. Right now we are able to do paint and body, welding, engine repair, engine rebuilding, transmission/clutch, turbo installs, A/C charging, brakes, etc.
I have about 20 or so cars to paint, and right now I don't have it set up the way I want it, but it will have to do.
Also like Emily said, we aren't trying to compete with other shops, there just isn't any shops in our area.
I hope as many of you can make it as possible. If you can't make it on the 12th, then stop by another time and show some 240Atlanta love.

He told me repeatedly that these 2 blues were only one shade off. He even took it to the paint dealer and they color matched the dark blue and they told him it was less than one shade off. C'mon man I am so tired of arguing useless arguments that I just eat the cost and have it done by someone who cares a little more.

Here is a good example that I clipped from the hood in the first of this post and put side by side. Now tell me you are gonna spend hours arguing that these 2 blues are less than one shade difference?

I'm requesting this be locked because this is between the three of us (Chris, Patrick and I). It doesn't involve anyone else, and I an guarantee you that this is still not "finished". I'm not going to get into a he-said, she-said argument online about this, because I'm above that. Chris is a grown man and can take care of his own business, he doesn't need "defenders" online. We are working towards a 100% resolution that will leave both parties (more importantly Chris) happy and not feeling "jipped".

I never said you were hard to reach but why do I need to call ya? Patrick told me that we were through doing business together because I wasn't happy with the Smurf car. He didn't say it quite that polite so I don't see this getting resolved between us anymore than it is right now. As far as I am concerned this is about as 100% as it is getting.

No he/she said that's exactly our last words until he left me a V.M. asking me if I was going to stiff you for the paint on the blue car. He added that he didn't think I should stiff you on the whole thing since there was a high cost of materials for it. That was after you apologized to me Sunday when we were there picking up the red car again. You didn't seem to think I owed you anything then so I am very confused now.

Oh I agree, I dont make the rules around here. I was just making an observation. There have been plenty of times things have been kept off the boards because of personal relationships on here despite an individual being in the right. Shop sponsors pay to advertise on here, and shop bashing is clearly outlined as against the rules, so its kept in PM's or off the forums.

Either way, that really does suck what happened to you :( This day and age its hard to find reputable shops or people in general that do good work. Im lucky I have one guy that has done my work for 8 years. If you want to get in touch with him let me know. He does all my work, and I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Emily's a friend of mine, but I have no affiliation with the business whatsoever. I was waiting until she posted to chime in.

She's frustrated about it too, and a number of the variables were out of her control. She knows its not pretty just as well as all of us do, and shes not happy about it either. BUT theres no reason for this thread to turn into a personal bashing like it has, especially not towards a person who isn't even directly responsible for the paint. As a matter of fact, it looks like a lot of the issue here is with Pat anyways, is that right Chris? As for people saying Emily shouldnt let the cars leave her shop, etc etc - its Pat's shop too, and it seems he has a bit more involvement in this particular issue than she does.

There's no question that this is a big bump in the road and a wake up call for a new business, but I know personally that Emily is gonna do everything in her power and within reason to try and make things right. Believe me, if anyone is wary about the scenario, its me - as a customer, believe me when I say Im keeping an eye on the scenario and the improving quality of work over time.

Hm actually the original deal was made with her and I never spoke to Pat until we were about ready to paint. They stopped by here to look at a few of the cars that needed a coat of paint (18 I think).

I have no issues with anyone and the variables/details really don't matter. The bottom line is still the bottom line which is I am out a small chunk of change with 2 cars that need painting. :(

There was a huge and continual miscommunication problem but it was not between me and them by any means but between them. I don't mind at all discussing that also if need be.

I hate posting on here but I can't not defend what your saying in my direction.

She is the one that met us there to pick up the red car and we went over all the goof ups on it. They told me the first time that I picked it up that they were probably going to have to re-spray it and we agreed but that didn't happen either.

The blue car same thing but both of them tried to convince us and several others that the color was one shade or less from the original color and it is far far from it. Regardless of the color the paint job is hideous so even if it was pink it wouldn't matter.

I am not on here to bash either but when something is said in my direction I will reply in defense with the facts. I like Emily a lot and really hope this thing takes off for her but I don't see it happening the way it is going now.

I seriously doubt it. He was just trying to help someone out and get Emilys shop on the maap. Emily is cool as hell as a person but From what I saw as far as work quality, I doubt this shop will be open long.

I have been in the Car audio business for over ten years. I have worked for 3 shops and a manufacturer and let me tell you, its hard to please everyone. If you have a big install go bad.... You will deffinetly see a good size hit on your business.

A word of advice to anyone who wants to start a business of any kind. Work for someone and get as much experience as you possibly can before you go and make it on your own. Experience is the key to owning your own business.

$650 each car but I never paid for the blue one. I though that was understood when I picked up the red car and it still looked rough. Apparently something changed and now I owe them for the blue car now.

Here is a $500 Maaco paint job that included a ton of body work including hood swap, drilled, mounted, several dings, driver side fender straightened, etc. Total cost was $620. Don't want that to get misunderstood.

It looks dirty because it has been sitting under the trees in the rain/sprinkler but you get the idea. I couldn't be happier for what was paid. I would recommend the 2 that I deal with to anyone.

I have a few here with 3-5k paint jobs so I do know the difference in quality. ;)

Here is the one we picked up yesterday. I am picking up another one tomorrow and then another Saturday am. I will post all the results in the car pictures thread titled before and after. The silver coupe has 3 before and then the 2 after shots just so you get an idea of the difference.

This car was rough but no where near as rough as the one above. This one was $550 with the same guarantee.

The white coupe that they have now they are charging me $600 but it needs a ton of sanding and prep work, replacing the trunk deck lid (I provided the deck lid) and a few dings. The last white one that they painted turned out awesome and we have been racing it for 3 years and it stills looks awesome.

Here is the only close up I have but I would never recommend someone that didn't do a good job. This isn't a 2-3k paint job but they do very well for the price. I have been dealing with them for a good while now and they always come through with very nice work.

The Maaco in Athens does a jam up job and is a lil cheaper but the one in Conyers off Hwy 138 does some awesome work for a few dollars more.

The Conyers store did the maroon/red car and Athens did the other 7. I have 6-8 more going through the booth in the next month or so.

If your doing dark colors I would suggest the Conyers store. ;)

Thanks for the info. I wanted to do an inexpensive but decent paint job on my car and those look alot better than what I was expecting.

Bugman- I usually dog on Maaco. But it looks like they did some nice spray work from the photos!

actually, i have the driveshafts if he can just do some new ubolts or whatever for me.

Shoot me a few pictures of what you need so I can make sure we have the right parts. I hate to ship something and it be wrong. On the transfer case is it gear drive or chain? Also part numbers from it would help a ton.
