I had a turbo RSX-S. My first kit I had on was a Greddy Kit and made 261WHP. Very reliable and simple. My second kit I had made 421WHP and I ended up blowing up the motor due to failure of the oil pump, I got very unlucky. A stock k20a2 can handle powers up to and around 500WHP. I've heard someone making 600WHP on a bone stock motor but I'm not too sure if anything happened to the motor or not. Boosting a K20 is a lot of fun, but they have weak rods and oil pumps.

Not necessarily, just depends on what kind of power you're looking to make. Whether IA will except it or not, ebay turbo kits are completely acceptable options for anyone looking to boost but keep it under control. Hell yea a boosted k20 is a good idea, but it can be complicated just like any other motor depending on what kind of power you're going for.

but if you have an engine worth ~$4000 why the hell are you gonna risk failure on a $500 eBay turbo kit? Of course it COULD work fine with no problems ever, or it could end up costing a lot more in the long run.

True, it could. But anyone with enough knowledge about boost can run an Ebay kit no problem, lots of people do it. You dont boost the **** out of a motor with an Ebay kit, but it's not gonna blow your **** up on 10lbs. if you know how to maintain it.

right, but anyone with enough knowledge to make the eBay kit work well, has enough knowledge to know its not worth it in the long run. (just imho)

Well in the long run the bearings and seals will blow up on you, but preventative measures can be taken to make it a reliable system.
