Is it worth entering the show?

Hey, Ive never been to NOPI, or any other big car show for that matter, and I am wondering if you guys think it would be worth entering the NOPI show once i get my wheels and exhaust put on? I dont want to look like some fag that is entering my almost stock car, but I do want to be in area with all the other peoples cars... :confused: :o

this has probly been answered a bajillion times, but are there many cars that enter that just have intake, exhaust and rims...i was starting to register last night, and i noticed the STREET class option, sounds like most of the STREET class entries would be kinda like me...right?

yeah man, go ahead and enter...there are classes for every car, some even split up into specific years and all...then like a mild, wild, conservitave...and even if you don't take home any hardware you still get into the show without having to walk and you get a passenger ticket too so you can a buddy to pitch in and take that or take your girl or something...but yeah...lots and lots of different classes...check out the website, lots of good info on there too, read up on the different classes and use it to your advantage...try to get as much done to your car that you can without putting yourself at "the bottom" of a higher class...but work it all out...like a car with a lip kit and painted stock rims could be in a conservitive class and actually do better than if he was in the higher clas :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

oh and you don't really need to bump a 6 or 10 minute post...people will read them, don't worry

lol thanks, I dont think you'll get many replies cause its friday night and I think everyone is out right now. This is my first time participating in nopi and I'm not necessarily looking to win anything, I figure the people that win have completely customized every aspect of their car. I'm just interested in the scene and possibly pick up new ideas for the future.

No they don't. I mean why would they even enter their cars into NOPI. When i was there, people were carrying around camcorders and stuff. I guess as long as you don't sit in their car, its cool. Its a show, what would they expect. If i entered my car in there, i would urge people to snapshot my car. I would just hunt their ass down if my car possibly gets stolen a few days after. I doubt that will happen though. Normally people that enter their cars, normally have a daily driver and use those other cars just for show and toying around.

If you have a decent looking car yes it is worth entering the show not only because its cheaper but you can get an idea of where your car stands if you happen to place. The overall idea is to have fun thats all that counts. But don't take some half@$$ed P.O.S. multicolored + Primer thing in there and expect to go home with something. People come from all over the U.S. to participate in this show so trust me there is some tough competition out there ;) Just my 2 cents, Later.
