46 MPG!!! WTMFC!!!

Has anyone else noticed an increase in MPG lately? i had a 124 mile road trip last weekend that only took 2.7 gals :eek:

this past week i've driven 371 miles on one tank (10 gals).......are they decreasing the ethanol, or has the summer blend been reformulated, is someone secretly filling up my tank at night for me......wtc!! lol


The 46mpg was all hwy, in 90 degree heat, ran on premium, 35 psi in all tires, horrible inefficient topmount, an alignment issue :ninja: and about a constant 2psi boost at 75mph in 5th gear (midget turbo ftl)......i dont get it, but im not complaining :D

I noticed something similar the last two times I filled up my tank, but the more I think about it the more I attribute it to less traffic, avoiding more traffic, and driving at night when my side-mount isn't completely useless.

i'm going to be starting a build on another car soon, alittle 6 cylinder swap...and i'm worried about 25mpg :D

I had to drive to N. Atl. and around town and it only took about 1 tank which would usually take a stop along the way from Macon. I'm loving the recent price drop, every little bit helps.

i've seriously thought about just getting a scooter to just get back and forth to work. 65-75mpg FTW!! 17 miles it just too far to ride a bicycle to work everyday

The summer mix IS typically better with less additives dedicated to keeping the gas from freezing. I know at my last Shell fillup it had a note saying 10% ethanol by volume which I personally don't like.

when I paid $4.33ish/gal it cost me about $64 to fill up. Right at 15gal or so. my tank is 15.7gal and I'm lucky to get 200miles per tank :cry:thats about 98% city driving though.

thats like 13 mpg......that would cost me 2.5 gal's to drive to work and back (36miles)....when roughly the same amount of fuel would get my DD 124 miles....you pay to pay i guess

LOL, it was because I wanted to hear it :D I came to the conclusion that the exhaust wasnt going anywhere and I can hear it any time I want, so I quit driving balls to the wall.

seat mounted intercoolers are awesome! you can run the AC and get better gas mileage @ the same time :ninja:

yeah, mine is heatsoaked within minutes in this heat....i'm presently running it on the factory low boost setting which is great for the HWY, but i probably hurt my city driving cutting boost in 1st and 2nd gear.
