Intake, straight cats, cat back exhaust, stock header, ported oem intake mani and tb, geared LSD, aftermarket clutch, short shifter, tuned...

Things should make more sense to people now...

This is just word of mouth....feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Just thought it was interesting.

ninja mods...

are you gonna pull a diff cover and look for an LSD? or pull a tranny just to see the clutch?

a stock cat can be hollowed out very easily.

Even though he said he was stock, he always told me he was Intake/cat back only.

How did you find this out?

explains a little bit about the turnout when he ran collins..

Car has a K&N Intake. Car has the stock mufflers cut down, and two dynomax bullets welded in their place. Factory cats, haven't touched them.

It has an ASP Under Drive pulley *5-10 rwhp* and a full dyno tune.

Car made 371 rwhp, and 365 tq on a ****ty day. It's been consistent low to mid 12's in the quarter on slicks, and mid to high 12's on street tires. Stock clutch.

I am not hiding a damn thing about the car. You guys can ask collins. I came clean with him on my future setup and plans and you guys are way off. There was a reason I didn't mess with the gears or anything else.

Oh, I also have BMR Drag brags to help the car hook, and a GM RipShift Shifter from Australia.

It is DEFINITELY still the stock clutch. The thing has been acting up lately ever since Collins race on slicks. If you listen when I raced Dieselnuts you can hear my shifts are clearly slower than I normally do. Luckily he didn't have enough car to run me down that night.

I don't really know what you mean by ported intake.. I guess you mean ported Ls2 intake. I didn't do that because at one point I was going to go with the fast intake manifold but I do however have plans on porting it soon enough. I flip flop ever so often and at the moment getting the Camaro on the road in a presentable condition is priority one.

I agree. Although I would have done the exact same thing Thacker did by not telling anyone. So props to him for being super sneaky...its just...well the cats outta the bag haha

I personally thought it was badass if that would have been the truth cuz its sneaky as f*ck. Slovic-fcc is the one who spoke to someone about it and relayed it to me. I was tired and wanted something to make a thread about. Seemed interesting haha

I don't really understand the hype regarding my car. It's a well driven intake / exhaust GTO.

Driver makes up for a lot... and you guys just don't want to seem to give me credit.

when I first bought my camaro I was all about adding more power. I neglected other aspects of the car. Such as the drivetrain / suspension.

This time with the GTO I went with drivetrain first. *shifter*. Suspension next *drag bags* and then started adding power. *intake / exhaust / pulley*

As a result the car not only hooks and WORKS from a dig, but It makes just enough power so that other cars that make within 50 of it, haven't been able to run me down if I get out on them.

You guys give me crap about not running from a roll..... but theres not anyone in the country that feels that is a good race.

The only people that want to race from a roll are as follows:
-Can't drive from a dig / aren't the best shifters - Dieselnuts
-Only added power mods and did nothing to make their car hook even though its usually cheaper to make it hook then it is to add power - Collins
-Like to race dyno's - Everyone else on this site

If you are just cruising along.. and another car comes up next to you and you don't have time to stop and go... then I can understand a quick roll.

BUT... if you have a preset race and have time to plan the thing out like you guys do on this site... theres absolutely no excuse for a roll race. Roll racing has always been to me, the dumbest way of comparing two cars acceleration performance.

I don't have to prove anything to you.

You let off the gas, and you slow shifted in that race against me.

You can HEAR it. why are you defending it?

I am sure what you do is adequate shifting... but you are leaving a lot on the table with the car.

I will bet you $200 bucks, you let me take that car to the track and I will trap 1-2 mph higher than you every single time.... no matter the 60' or launch.

telling you that you don't shift very fast isn't "talking ****"

It's stating a fact about your driving and why you couldn't catch me that night.

You are telling me your lack of shifting ability is that much of a sore spot for you?

People don't realize that when you let off the gas like Derek does... you DO lose momentum. you hit the next gear, you get back in the gas and your car has to pick the front end back up and get moving again.

It's made up to .4-.5 difference for me at the track.
