Alright to make the long story short, i just finished a swap, and i've done everything i could to check for my problem..

the problem:

motor starts up sounds find and everything, compression reads
160 across on a complete b18b1, timing is set @ 12degree, but when driving up hill it wont reach 30-40 mph for some reason, nothing is clogged, exhaust piping wise, and i cant think of anything else, but i've played around with the plug wiress. .. and cylinder
#1 does not make a difference (motor sound wise even if i plug it in or not)
but every other cylinder it makes a difference, i was thinking maybe a messed up injector, i switch out injector on cylinder #1 and same scenario.

so what do yall think it is..
starts up fine no check engine light
fresh plugs & wires ignitor is fairly new, no signs of wear, timing @ 12deg,
when start up, warms up and idles @ 6-800rpm tell me what yall think.. thankz

not sure...

try setting your timing at 0

is #1 getting spark? if it is then the inj is prob bad since you have compression. you've done the initial things:
spark
fuel
compression

once you get that sorted out if it still does it then see if it does it wot any earlier than just trying to cruise. if it does it as soon as you stab the throttle, then you may have the tps and map mixed up...won't nec throw a cel, but will cause the car to have issues.

what about ecu/tune? is it a stock ls ecu for the engine?

set the dist timing to 16* with a digital advance timing light w/ the svc connector jumped.

From what you've shared it sounds like Cyl. 1 is getting no spark. Turn the engine on, pull the #1 plug wire from the distributor cap and hold the wire close to the cap. The sparking should be really obvious. If there's no sparking, or it's super-weak compared to the others, then you've found your problem, and need to see why your distributor is weak on #1 and trace back from there. If the spark is solid enough there, then pull the plug itself out and run it and see how the spark looks on the plug.

I'd be really surprised if it's not a bad/misgapped plug or bad distributor or something dealing with bad spark.

sorry bout the double post but i got a video of it also.. and ecu is stock LS, and i've replace the injector #1 with a few of them already and same scenario, but i haven't touched the timing at all, still sits @ 12* on a digital TiminGun, plugs & wires are new, spark plugs were gapped .044 and distributor, i used my buddy's distributor to to make sure mines was good on his and it's good. .... and i've drove it WOT 1st & 2nd , boggs, laggs

look @ the video

check your cat/MAP sensor. Pull the MAP and clean it, check your cat to make sure it doesn't need replacing/isn't coming apart.

cat convertor is gutted, and teh map i'll just do it 2morrow, but would that effect cylinder #1 look @ video, and about the igniter,

Still sounds like spark to me. I think you've skipped something obvious and need to start from the beginning with just checking to make sure all your grounds are good and none of your wires are shorted.

check all of your injector filters, they are in the top of the injector and they pull out...if they are clogged it is time for a new fuel filter

run some sea foam through it

Did you check your plug wire on the #1 cylinder? Check the insulator that goes down to the plug. Look for small burnt holes or "tracks" of burnt spots.

One easy way to test the wire is to tape up the extension part of the wire that goes into the head with some electrical tape, reinstall the wire and start the car up. If it's still missing pull the wire back out and see if there are any holes burnt into the tape! Makes it easier to see if the hole is small.

If the miss goes away then the tape is holding and you know for sure it's the wire!

Have you check to see if you are getting a signal from the ecu to that injector? You need a noid light to plug into the #1 injector wire. It will blink if the ecu is sending a signal when you start the car. Rare but I've seen them do it. You can get the light at your local NAPA there under $10.

pull off your fuel line and turn the key, if gas comes out your fuel pump is good, then check ALL your injectors(mine acted the same way and was actually 3 of them clogged) I wouldn't worry about spark since the video makes it very clear you are getting one, last is look/listen for vaccum leak, soapy water over your vaccum lines will bubble up in any area you have a leak when you turn the car on.

if I come fix it can I have it for a crackhead price still? lol

sounds like the same problem I'm having, except for the whole cylinder 1 thing. mine isn't doin that. you said you've checked vacuum everywhere? does it run rough as soon as you crank it or does it have to reach operating temperature first?

Did you change the timing belt for the swap? I know this is off on a tangent but just humor yourself and check to make sure that your cam timing is right.

yes it is right.. i think.. haha i mean i have a digital timing gun and it is set @ 12degs so thats like right on.. and idols @ 6-800rpm
