That whole "my car only cost 2/3rd is a ridiculous argument. When a car manufacturer builds a car I don't think their entire goal is how fast it can go in a straight line.

We could argue handling, build quality, reliability.... comfort.... durability... interior... etc... and then we would see why a GTO costs as much more than the Neon as it does... but I won't get into those arguments. Someone that can only afford 19-22k on a new vehicle isn't the kind of person that appreciates those things anyway.

I completely disagree with you there. Alot of hard working young adults and even older ones will only purchase a car in that pricerange to live above there means in other places. But i will admit the unnecessary amount of attention your getting on this board is wasting alot of bandwidth. We should have a thackerss section so that all the posts in all the other sections will just go away.

He could have bought a nice used c5 vette, LS1 camaro, SVT Cobra.

There was many other options that would have been a much better suited car for someone that cared about those things for around that same price range. Hell I only gave 23k for my GTO and it has less than 9k miles on it when I bought it.

I think him being overweight, combined with the low testosterone and what not is what made him make a decision to buy such a feminine car. I mean... there's not a single person in this world that honestly thinks that a neon has any redeeming factors or any sort of qualities that scream "manly". I mean some people don't care about those things I guess. They are the kind of people that ride around in 15 second rice burners that sound horrible.... and the kind of people that buy 350z's.

I have two vehicles that were just above the 30k cut new. I could have easily bought a z06 with the money I have invested in these two. I could have bought an E55 AMG that I was looking at a while ago also. I decided to keep my camaro because I wanted a "race car" and I bought the GTO. The GTO to me was the nicest car for the price out of ANY car manufacturer. For anyone thats really spent any time in one its really BMW quality ride, with a nice, easily modified GM LSx based small block. To me there is no greater platform for potential.

Debt is totally circumstantial to each person. I myself... am not in any "debt" per se.

I put enough down on my GTO that I will never be belly up on the loan, and my camaro was paid off the day it was purchased.

dude who fucking cares what ppl think about you and your ride i have a 89 festiva i drive sometimes. and it not because i cant afford anything it cause that car averages around 45 mpg if drove proper. and about the neon comment i got friend with a gay neon that will walk all over your a$$. just because it a neon dont mean sh!t. i hope you race stillaneon and he walks all over your a55
