Here's the PLOT; went to TiresPlus in Athens anticipating a 4wheel alignment I needed done on my car. After about an hour or so wait to finally pull up my car to the rack so they can park my car onto the alignment machine. They come inside to the front desk and say; sorry man..your cars too low. It'll tear off the front bumper if we try and go on the rack. I was like, "DAM"! All that waiting and I could've saved all that time by just going ahead and looking @ their alignment rack right when I first pulled up. In my opinion, driving up sideways could work but its one of those ramps that have a big ass gap in between it. If I tried to go sideways with that big gap in it..one of my tires could fall into it. But anyways, taking off my front bumper might help some but I think it'll still hit the intercooler which is almost as low as my bumper and I might hit my downpipe which is 3inches thick and sticking out right under the turbo.

Anyways, any good places that can do alignments on lowered front bumper cars like mines? I was thinking Gran Turismo East or maybe try GoodYear next. If all else fails, I'mma @least take off my bumper and get it over with. If there's a will, there's gotta be a way; I know there are lower cars out there then mine and mines isn't even that low. It's just the bumper that sits low. Peace

You cant drive them on sideways, it will throw the reading off. I keep 2x6 boards at work to get my car on the alignment rack lol.

The car is not even tucking on the tire. It's a perfect drop but its just that the bumper is bulky and low.

Gwinnett Place Ford should do it without any issues. We have done cars lower than that before.

If you've got boards, let me use them and get my alignment done! aha Can your boards handle 3200ibs of metal? hehe

Places that tell you they cant get lowered cars on alignment or other machines are idiots. That is what wood is for.

Alot of Dealerships have In-Ground Alignment Machines that are level with the ground, so any car can be aligned

I only go to Gran Turismo East. They deal with performance cars and regular cars. They are GREAT.

Understand that "most" shops dont want to take on the liability that comes with working on lowered vehicles. We have done many alignments on lowered vehicles but its a case by case basis. I would be more than willing to "attempt" to do your alignment but again its all gonna matter on clearance. The only thing that I would be concerned with is making sure the downpipe/exhaust is gonna clear the center lift jacks. Otherwise I would go to either GTE or Mahdavi (Sp?). PM me for info on our location in Loganville which is probably about 20-30 minutes from Athens on Hwy 78.

Questions for you:

1. Are you expecting just a toe and go?
2. Do you camber kits installed for proper settings?
3. When do you want to try?

Either Gran Turismo or Kauffman on Peachtree Industrial

i ended up going to Kauffman because i didnt have to make an appointment and they have a pit that caters to my dumped vehicle. :goodjob:

We can do it at Mahdavi, no problem. Lowered, raised, no matter. If it can fit on the lift physically, we align it. $65. :goodjob:

Gran Turismo East! Gran Turismo East! Gran Turismo East!

If my race car with 2 inches of clearance all the way around can go on the rack, im sure urs will

What all do you get with one of GTE's $100+ alignments?

^mine have never been that expensive. Maybe cus i have the hook up or I'm sooo good looking?

Also Jamie, when we think of Mahdavi we think performance. You guys dont really advertise for being an alignment shop. If people are paying 100+ for an alignment from GTE, they know they are getting the best of the best.
