Check your oil level. Vtec kicks in at that area correct? We get people in the shop all the time saying their car wont rev high and loses power. Well, there isnt enough oil and the vtec solenoid recognizes this and wont allow the car to rev any higher. Make sure you are full of oil first.

It was full of oil.. and yes it just started doing this after the b16 swap... i use to have D series and never had this problem... and NO i dont have a Cat.. straight pipe.... its not the ecu..< scotty would have known that.

is the car obd0 or obd1.you sure you have the rght inj.if you use the wrong inj the resistance in the inj are different and would cause it to run ****y

did it do it out of nowhere or did you work on it and then it happened?
ive seen reverse wired injectors do very similar symptoms before when wired 4/3/2/1 instead of 1/2/3/4
you need to get a multimeter and the specs for all the sensor ranges and start probing.
it definetly doesnt have anything to do with the oil level or vtec sensor though. thats obviously coming from someone who doesnt work on hondas. the vtec oil pressure switch is what he is trying to speak of not the solenoid and even still, if you have low oil, you can rev the hell out of the car, vtec just wont work because of lack of oil pressure.

check your map sensor? intake filter clean? osnap was having a similiar problem and it turned out his timing was slightly off. There was something else wrong, too, but to this day we don't know what. Something involving the intake, because he brought his car to our shop for bodywork and it sat for a while. Being nice, I gave him a new intake and filter since I had the stuff laying around. Problem had fixed itself by the time he came to pick it up.
So... I would say..
1. Check MAP sensor.
2. Check air intake for leaks/replace or clean filter
3. reset ECU
4. Check timing
That's the only stuff I can think of, because like I said osnap's b16 was actinging similiarly, and once those 4 things happened, it was golden.

80psi is way too much, should be 40psi tops at idle if you have a stock regulator on it.
Sounds like a timing issue, triple check the timing belt an make sure everything is lined up. If the timing is off it could throw the a/f way off and make it not want to rev out.
I highly doubt its an injector problem.

yea i know that 80 is double the psi.. ^^^timing was checked before trying to tune it.... im Phucking tired of this Damn car!!!

i know man it pisses me off , I want to run but i CANT!!!!!
IT has to be a Mechanical problem or somethin....should i take it back to the people who did the swap or what.....?

^^ checked!!

OK i came up with maybe a solution... Im thinkin since the Fuel pressure is reading 80psi (way too much) maybe the fuel line from the rail is too SMALL.. maybe i should get a bigger hose...
What do you guys think about that???
SixSquared
08-03-2008, 03:04 PM
Try it... worst that will happen is it still won't work and you'll only be out a few bucks for a hose... start small then get big when it comes to repairs... no use replacing an engine because of a bad o2 sensor, you know?
Black4DrEK
08-03-2008, 03:17 PM
yea... its deffenently a fuel problem tho.. so ill just do as much as i CAN

08-03-2008, 03:45 PM
I didnt, someone did tho, Ill see if we have one laying around, I think someone grabbed a fuel rail w/o a hole in the fitting on the end to allow fuel flow.
