Ok, I'm looking for some rock to listen to while I train now.... Something that gets you going, but again isn't like Slipknot or anything. I like mostly alternative rock, and I'm looking for newer songs. Alternative just isn't... training music material.

Hmm.... Any songs in specific?

osnap: Yes.... they must have a guitar and drums. I usually like them with a melody, oh, and most of the time it sounds best if the guitar is tuned. The good music, you know, the kind you listen to with your ears, and enjoy. Its not that hard.

you could try some of Slipknots new stuff. quite different from the older albums. they actually have solos for once O_O but some other stuff to listen to is Iron Maiden, King Diamond, Serj Tankian, The Misfits, Thrice, Turbonegro, and Warmen

I generally listen to Chimaria at the gym. Then some Slipknot, then some Rammstein. Maybe after some opeth.

The screaming/hardcore bands are great for lifting.

If you are looking for some just straight up rock & roll that will pump you up and make you excited to be alive, I reccomend a band like Airbourne.

They are Austrailian, but they are a newer day AC/DC with a lot of power and soul and know how to have a good time.

If not, than check out; As Blood Runs Black, I Killed the Prom Queen, Parkway Drive, Darkest Hour, As I Lay Dying, Suicide Silence, or Pig Destroyer.

Any of those will do for working out.
