View Full Version : HOUSE ROBBERY in Norcross...

It is all too common in Norcross.

Okay guys, I know this is the REPORT STOLEN CARS & CAR PARTS section, but I had to post this anyway. Other items are sold in the marketplace, so I wanted to put this out there.

My "to be" house was broken into recently. I didn't have much in there. I haven't, officially, moved in yet. The house has no insurance, yet. But here's what was stolen from me:

-Marshall MG series 250dfx guitar amplifier [it's considerably heavy]
-Epiphone Les Paul style honeyburst guitar
-Boss effects pedals: distortion, blues, noise suppressor, one other one [but I can't think right now]

I don't have the time to file a police report, but if you come across these items, you'll at least know they could be "hot" or know what your friends could be into.

I know all about the whole "you should have had an alarm"..."you shouldn't have left them in the house unsecure"... etc, etc... I'd appeciate it if you kept those posts to yourself. I'm not a n00b to keeping things secure, except for this time around.

In the meantime, I am going to get a gun...anyone know anything about rubber bullets and where I can get them? Death is too quick for how I feel right now. I know I am probably forgetting some things, but I'm just trying to vent right now--it's coming out in waves. I am looking into securing the house...surveillance. Can anyone refer a company that's as good or even better than "It takes a thief"?

Thanks in advance...

Yeah, man... history repeats itself. 9 years ago, I left a pretty good sound system in my 85 318i [no alarm] while it was at the shop. Sure enough, it was all gone when I returned for my car. I told myself I wouldn't be as careless with my valuables.

The stuff that was taken was all I really had there--except for the power cage. I only had one couch for the living room and a mattress in the bedroom. All of the other rooms were empty. --no working appliances.

The house is vacant a lot. It wasn't a huge loss, but anyone who owns a guitar would understand the loss of one.

--lesson learned.

andrew... I've heard adt's service isn't as good as some of the other companies. But I'm sure they could definitely be considered.

Has anyone bought anything from SmartHome?

Dude guitar center and a lot of other music stores sell used equipment and will give you cash on the spot if you show up with those items, and the thiefs can also just sell that stuff on ebay. Unfortunately i dont think you will have much luck getting your stuff back.

edit: im selling a jackson dinky and a crate amp, hit me up if you are interested

Yeah, man... I'm not expecting to get anything back. I filed a police report earlier in the week and they told me they have "ins" with all the local pawn shops. As soon as the police report is ready, I'm going to hand a copy to music go round. That's, about all, I'm going to do concerning this.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to go a different route as far as my musical tendencies. :goodjob:

And for that exact reason they take thumb prints, and make you fill out a ridiculous amount of information etc, that would be damn near impossible to forge.

Coming from another guitar player, I am very sorry for your loss man, I hope it works out, and that you can get your stuff back and the cops roast the fuccks who took it.
