The problem I've had as a Miata owner in Atlanta is the lack of a central hub for enthusiasts to gather, share advice, talk Miata, and of course buy and sell stuff. As a result I just opened up the forum MX5Atlanta, it's still in its infancy (becomes quite obvious once you login!) but I hope to create something for Miata owners that can mimic an Atlanta owner's club such as this one.

So hopefully what you see are the foundations of something special, perhaps reminiscent of importatlanta's birth. Either way, if you know any Miata owners please tell them about the new site and even if you don't, feel free to drop by and check it out.

Hopefully I'm not treading on dangerous turf here posting up on someone else's creation but I'm just spreading the love, not hate http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif

And also, IA founders, if you read this, some advice on how to get the place started out from your own experience would be very helpful.

Such 'central hubs' /forums have been in existence for years....as have Miata clubs.
miata.net, miataturbo.net, clubroadster.net and others, all have a heavy
amount of Atlanta traffic. There are numerous gatherings of Miata owners
that take place around Atlanta at any given time, in all different age and interests. This area is/was the home of RSpeed, Downing, Mazmart etc etc all players in the Miata world since the beginning. Some of the first forced induction Miatas were done right here in the area.

Of course, if youre starting a club/forum for broke ass teenage ricer Miata owners that might be different. ;)

But hey, good luck. The more the merrier. I'll stop by.

Miata.net is more of the wine/cheese crowd and their southeast section sucks. Peachtree Miata like gift shops from what I hear.
Miata turbo, is well... Turbo Miata
And Clubroadster isn't Atlanta specific.
As for the gatherings, I wasn't hearing about any of them!

I tend to call it mx5 simply because that's what everyone calls 'em back home (England). It also has a better ring to it than miataatlanta.com
