View Full Version : Oz10's new ride...
Well my legacy was totalled by an old lady last month. Heres the link to the pics if anyones interested or didnt see it.
http://www.importatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181872
the insurance company (allstate) STILL hasn't taken my totalled car out of my driveway. And I STILL haven't received a check for it either. I test drove an old rx-7 (pos) and also looked at an old corrado (even worse pos) and decided to look at nicer and newer cars. I checked out A4's, but wondered about reliability issues. Right when I was sure I was out of luck I saw an ad on craigslist that caught my eye. 12 hours later I had bought my new car and I couldn't be any happier. :D This car is rediculously clean and the previous owner had every receipt from any service he had done. I'm going to be really surprised if anyone actually read all that.
So here it is.

I'm not sure. I might keep it stock. It already handles better than the legacy I put 2 grand into. :goodjob: I do a lot of long drives too and from school and the loud exhaust and lowering springs made those long drives in my legacy kind of uncomfortable. So we'll see. Everyone says there going to keep there car stock at first. ;)

well as far as long rides go, an exhaust on a WRX isnt too bad. keep it at a nice crusing speed and its not bad at all. hell i fell asleep in my brothers WRX on the way back from Road Atlanta

Yeah I want an exhaust I can hear, because subi's sound so good. But at the same time I don't want it to be so loud that it gets aggravating when I'm just cruising. So I'll probably try to find a good sounding quiet exhaust. :goodjob:

well the Invidia G200 sounds really good when the wagon is wound up, yet still maintains a quiet sound inside the car. you could try seeing if they have one for the GC. this is a close enough set up to what hes got on the wagon and really close to his sound

no problem man. i only know a little bit about Subarus. you'd get alot more help from WRX atlanta. or you could PM my brother, redmanhart, and find out his entire exhaust set up. i cant think of all of it right off the top of my head

congrats on the new ride. since you loved your old one so much, I know this is a bitter/sweet situation, but it looks like you came out on top anyway. Best color too!

You don't need a loud exhaust, and get more than just springs.. get a coilover kit so that you can adjust the ride for you current preference, other than that congrats on the GC8 and you'll enjoy it... they handle better off-road than on:

Yeah if I do suspension work I'll probably get the ground control coilover kit. And I don't plan on geting loud exhaust.

Go w/ H&R Coilover kit, or Tein not Ground Control unless you plan on getting the struts seperately

I wanna get the ground control coilovers because I have a set of KYB GR-2 struts left over from my legacy that will fit. So I'll put all that on at the same time. ;)
