Things need to be lined up still, rear shocks are at 100psi that why its so high, and need driver headlight cover, it flew off :)

Man..... I have never seen a rear mounted turbo.... That is the craziest thing I have ever seen. It makes since you can do it but never thought to do that.

What is the purpose of mounting it back there, is it just a space issue or is there a performance benefit?:???:

So my next question is, why hasn't this been done on a Honda? I googled it and found a Z24 Cavalier with one. It would be sweet in place of the muffler. :goodjob:

No room under the hood, its a custom turbo i put together PT67 and a Turbonetics 58ar turbine housing with stg3 wheel ..man i had to buy two expensive turbos to make this one its called the Wizard of OZ. Spools quick and boost comes in HARD.

ou loose alot of exhaust pressure by the time the air reaches the turbine housing a 4cyl would take for ever to spool a rear mount turbo

Well your work is VERY impressive... Nice and clean. :goodjob: You've given me food for thought on that rear mounted Turbo... Is the exhaust a lot louder with the muffler eliminated? Does your exhaust sound more like a semi turbo spooling?

Annihilation
07-25-2008, 06:45 PM
Ya sounds like a semi next to you ,isnt too loud but sounds mean as hell ...quieter than just a open headers

g54b mmight spool right , just make sure you get the right turbo.. this one took some time to make sure i get it right and havme enough flow on both ends

So you think a 12g woudn't be enough? Do you have to have more flow to compensate for being so far from the intake and exhaust or is it all the same?

I was more thinking about a turbo kit on the Integra though..

Annihilation
07-25-2008, 06:53 PM
you will need a bigger compressor housing and compressor wheel...try a 18g compressor and 12g turbine section.... more charge pipe means you need air flow to fil the volume

Oh, so you do have to compensate for the distance. I guess it makes sense...:goodjob:

With all that piping for cooling purposes, do you still have a intercooler?

Annihilation
07-25-2008, 07:29 PM
No need intercooler pipe cools down .... i drove for a hour it stayed cool...just need heat wrap at the section right by turbine housing
