I wonder how much money this guy is gonna make off this deal

FriskyWalrus
07-17-2008, 11:09 AM
thats the way all the R35s were made. if you look closely at the pictures of the steering wheel, you can see its paddle shift

EDIT: technically we're both right

I'm fully aware of the padle shifters. I am just saying that its not a MANUAL transmission because it doesnt have a clutch. It has an AUTO clutch...its not new technology, I thought everyone knew this by now...

FriskyWalrus

well like i said in my edit. we're technically both right. a Dual Clutch Automated Manual transmission

Needs to be manual with a clutch, only high end exotics have the right to use this technology. Not Japanese ****.

someone should f'up the auction at the end with a crappy user ID then leave negative feedback right away just to prove how sh#@y E-bay's new system is.

freaking people complaining about auto.

That's the 2nd best, if not, the best tranny & Drive train ever made. In fact, I think Ferrari recruited the engineer who worked on the GT-R "Launch Control"

Ferrari Tranny isn't a regular auto, nor isBMW SMG tranny.

The technology is totally different. :lmfao: But wth, I'm not complaining.

Fvck, I'd prefer a an auto so I can work my hand with the fine chick sitting next to me.

I'd rather hold the boobs than hold a stick. :taun:

twin clutch...fastest shifs are made by a clutchless setup, look at ferrari's and more expensive cars.

I know that I was reffering to truetoknow's post about how the "high end" cars use a clutchless setup and that's why i was like  . I thought the enzo utilized a twin clutch setup as well.

Your not getting at what I'm saying. I'm talking about the actual mechanical piece the ACTUAL CLUTCH inside the transmission. The R32 doesn't have a clutch pedal but it still has a clutch.

The Enzo has a semi-automatic transmission (also known as the F1 gearbox) using paddles to control an automated shifting and clutch mechanism, with LED lights on the steering wheel telling the driver when to change gears. The gearbox has a shift time of just 150 milliseconds. The transmission was a first generation "clutchless" design from the late 1990s, and there have been complaints about its abrupt shifting.[5][7]

wow, it really is a nice car, i wish i had the money, idc if its an auto, its just the sheer thought of being able to say i OWN a LEGAL SKYLINE. not many can say that, but for the ones that can, i have a crap ton of respect for.

overall i love the car, personally.

so go ahead, negative rep me ;)

it's not a skylineOh yeah, I forgot about that. Still, I'd prefer a Mine's R34 over this, mostly because it doesn't look as ugly as sin.

Every time i see someone post - "It's NOT a skyline" I giggle inside.
It's like a quick and simple way to seem "educated" on the vehicle.
I think it's mainly because i've seen a bunch of people try to correct someone by calling them on it.

Hey, the car embodies Skyline styling cues and it's performance heritage so don't knock people for calling it a skyline.

Besides, Skyline sounds better - GTR sounds like somethings missing

No pun intended. :D

the whole point of me saying clutchless is referring to an actual pedal you press down to get going... you being a smart ass about whether or not a car has a clutch is just showing how much you are just trying to argue about technicality.
