speedo problem

ok i have a 91 S10. the speedo will work sometime and sometime not work at all. is there anyway to check to see if it is the speed sensor or just some loose wires.

yeah and i got the tag to. so far today i have put new hoses on it all new pulgs and wires new thermostat. it is running even better and i got the K&N filter, come over to check this bit out
