Well, the tag dept. has so conveniently managed to loose my personalized plate, so now I have to think of a new one. I was wondering, does anyone know of a website where you can go and type in the letter/number combination to see if the tag is available?

Also, let me know if anyone sees this tag. It will be registered as lost/stolen on the 27th of this month.

I know I can call them and ask, but I'd rather not deal w/their bullshiit untill I absolutely have to.

i've heard of other states having them, but i dont know of one for GA

No Georgia has no such site for looking tag names up. You have to call the tag office and give them the choices you are looking for. :goodjob:

I had my first tag stolen in Bama. The one I have now isnt nearly as cool as that one was.

Same I got my tag yesterday and wanted a custome tag "GTFO" but I am just going to wait till I need to renew it in Oct since it was all ready taken and she told me there was no site or anything. =/

yeah, my B-day is Aug. 8th and my tag should be here already, but they said its comming with an 09 sticker on it, so thats cool.

Yeah they told me I would have to renew it so I was like I can just wait and think a little more but I was like is there a place I can see what taken and she told me know at the Cherokee Tag office. Since i just bought the GTO I want GTFO....(Get the **** Out)

I had someone steal my VDUBFTW tag that was on my Mk2 a couple years ago. :(

Why is it not avail. for them to replace? If you never got it? I didnt know they mailed them anymore. I know most counties you have to pick them up from the tag agency when they come in.

Well, it was "activated and shipped" on 6/27, so its floating out there somewhere. When I talked to the woman at the tag office, she described the package it came in and said that it fits in standard sized mailboxes, so I figured its mailed. I live in Gwinnett.
