Mazda has unveiled the first official images of the new Kazamai concept ahead of the car's official debut on August 26 at the Moscow International Auto Salon. In Japanese, "Kazamai" means "swirling crosswinds." In English, that means "Nagare-styled compact CUV." If Mazda were to make a small crossover using the Nagare design language, it would probably look something like this. Only with four doors, because we all know that the 2-door configs are just to make the show cars sexier. So, does this mean that Mazda's working on a stylish, downsized CUV to join the ranks of the CX-7 and CX-9? Well, probably, given expensive gas prices and the resurgence of smaller vehicles in general. With any luck, it'll look this cool if and/or when it arrives.

that would be sweet, reading more into the Nagare design style, some of the stuff they are doing is pretty interesting. At least mazda is pushing against the norm, and the cars are becoming more and more original in shape and body

if u think that the car is gonna LOOK like that it wont.... its a concept showing of body panels for a number of cars. The main part was the side panels for aero purposes..

Those tail lights are INsane! I don't know if that's good or bad but they're crazy for sure. To me that looks better than half of the crap on this site and wouldn't be the ugliest car on the road it it were built today.

blablabla i know it's just a concept and it will never hit the road but pick one line off that car that i can constitute as appealing. even those wheels are god awful.

I don't think it looks all that bad. I'd bet if the first 3 or 4 comments weren't negative, a few more people would've posted something somewhat positive, but they had to see what the crowd thinks before they formed an opinion. I mean, maybe the door is a bit much, but I think the car looks somewhat good. I've been liking Mazda concepts lately, it really brakes the mold for the overseen common automobile. All econo boxes look alike, and all the next gen sports car look alike, and all the 90s sports care had a liiiiitle bit of identity, but the thread about 80s sports cars really shows how overused one design was. I think the 50s and 90s were the only 2 decades where you could tell cars apart right away. Every other time you had to get people who'd seem them a few times go "no, it's a so-and-so because of the headlight housing shape, or number of grill slits, or c-pillar kink" etc.
