so, i'm headed home after buying 2 books for my psychiatry rotation, and trying to scout some locations for a project i'm doing... and i see the trailer for the #43 car on the corner of ralph mcgill and peachtree. i don't follow nascar, but i figured that meant there is an event in town. i pull around it (as it was parked in the right lane) and out of nowhere, police officers start running their sirens, and flashing lights...

shots taken from the car, no time to adjust any settings... good thing i had my wide angle lens on.

well it was being put on display somewhere obviously... but why they drove it through the streets kinda gets me. maybe they didn't have enough room to park the transporter and unload the car where it was supposed to be.

idk. it came down ralph mcgill towards piedmont, then made a u turn (as the transporter was parked on ralph micgill)... the guy driving the car was older, and wearing what looked like a team shirt...

just checked nascar.com, and apparently there's a race here this weekend (golden corral 500). maybe they couldn't get a hotel near the track, and needed to make some adjustments to the car... or maybe they did some charity function where the car was needed.

The races are here this weekend at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, so im sure they did that as a gimmick to get the attention to let people know the teams are here racing this weekend

apparently Tony Stewart was up drinking @ Mazzy's off Roswell Rd. in Marietta on Wed.night. I saw him, but wouldn't recognize him cause I don't care about nascar.

That actually looks like the driver, Jeff Green, in the car not the best view but if it's not him it's somebody who looks just like him.
