second.. i can totally understand your decision. i really want an si 4 door myself, but im 30+ and can live without shiftin'. plus with the rising gas prices....i could live without some k20ness.. if they would have made a automatic 4dr si (like a tsx) it would be in my garage right now. im torn between making the "fake Si", aka the 36mpg, lx auto 4dr with all the si cosmetic goodies.. or just gettin the real deal so i can just drive it as is bone stock. ricers just need to be ignored.

unless you got a hell of a deal i don't know why you would get a base civic over maybe a 2004-2005 TL if you want a car to just chill in. Same price range if that civic is 1 year old.

I like the Si. 4dr auto civic's are meant to be left stock and driven for gas mileage...to each his own though. undoubtedly, it's a nice car to ride in, i'd prolly rock it for gas mileage if i had a weekend car but an econobox for a "chill" car....not so much. depends how you define chill i guess.

Umm... no. my lx's motor (r18) is not designed to run on anything above 87, that being said tell me what the benefits are of me running a higher octane are when honda engineers tell me not to as it is not good for my motor.
