I have a 95 katana 600 now with only 3700 miles on it , it needs a back tire and left side fairing. I am going to be selling it in the near future. The reason for doing so is a friend of mine has a 2001 ninja 750. It has a metallic blue paint job, chrome wheels, chrome Two Brothers exhause, other misc. chrome pieces, and only 2500 miles on it. He is an older black guy that is scared of going fast so he's never been over 80 and only rides for the enjoyment so bike has been taking care of. He wants 3k for it. Is this a good deal, there anything I need to watch out for on this year and make bike? Not much knowledge on this kind of bike. I have rode it and it rode smooth and was comfortable. Any opinions appreciated good or bad. REPS for all serious opinions!

But for the price of the Ninja is it worth it? I am figuring it is a steal. I'm not talking about is it valued more than the 3k he is asking. I already know it is. But just cause something has a set value doesn't mean it is worth it... I enjoyed the ride and it is honestly a beautiful bike. Just didn't know if there would be any regrets I would have.

make sure your money is right, and if it is, do it.
ninjas are obviously great bikes.

Yeah, that is the reason for selling the Katana. It is a comfortable bike for cruising actually. I am selling it to a guy for most of the money it'll cost to get Ninja... So pretty much it is like I am trading the bike plus a few dollars on my part but nothing serious...

There will be pics when I pick it up! I have rode sense I was young. But I don't know all the specs of bikes. I just enjoy them. I had to put this one back together and it is definately a good learning experience... But it is worth the sweat and hard work.

NINJAS HAVE A GOOD COMFORTABLE RIDE, I DONT KNOW OF ANY PROBLEMS OUT OF THEM, IVE NEVER BEEN A HUGE NINJA FAN BUT FOR THE PRICE WITH THE FEW GOODIES IT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD DEAL. SELL THE CAN-O-TUNA AND GET THE BETTER BIKE.

Yeah I want something newer... but I only paid $350 for katana, and I have about $250 (once I get tire and other things I had to fix) in it so I couldn't pass it up...

Thanks Cruz

It's a great price for the year to mileage ratio. I just wonder why he has that nice exhaust if he never rode it fast. Good bikes though.

It was on there when he bought it... He just had it painted the metallic blue. He has only put 600 miles on it in five years or so...

Sounds like an awesome deal. If it pulls smooth and seams like it has been well cared for, then hell yeah! THat's a nice step up from your 600. You will appreciate the handlebars and peg's not buzzing you to death like the Katanas do.
