My friend doesnt have the money for a paint job so he sprays it black and red, actually looks pretty clean, but he catches an ungodly amount of hell about it. I defend him and get neg repped by a mexican, a mexican's gay brother, and some b!tch that didnt even post in the thread. My friend did the best he could and yet people hate on his car like hell. Some people dont have that kind of money to drop in cars, he spend his money on suspension and body, sorry thats more important than paint. I thought IA was a site about car appreciation, not to spend the whole time hating on other people's cars, How about offering helpful advice, and appreciating the effort people are putting in their cars? Mine is flat black and we are spraying it with a glossy black. We see this as a temporary fix until we can afford paint, but I have more important things to fix than the paint. Aslong as it lookds decent I'm happy

if you do alot of thin coats and wetsand after and then clearcoat it and wetsand again it will look decent. just spraying "gloss black" is gonna look hazy and it will look like a rattle can job.

see if i HAD to go that route, i would just primer it. it doesnt look that bad, but still just talk to someone on here, i mean sprayglo had a special for like 500 a couple months back and i paid a little more then that, and for the price the paint job is hella good. but if i do it again, im going to spend alot more so it will be even better. i just think that even if my cars paint looked like ass i wouldnt spray it, maybe primer, but not a coat of paint and then clear, just more work to do in the long run when it comes to a ligit paint job

the fact that the car was actually RACED qualifies it as a race car... and that car was actually VERY fast for autoX, and could have been a competitive IT car if it had a cage.

Your eclipse is not all that. A older model sentra, with minor bolt on's with alittle bit of timing adjustment would easily pull on your car.

Track times are nothing. Trust me on this. Weather conditions, road, alot of things come into play in a street race. Seeing as how you have a V6, you might pull him down low, but up top im sure he'd be pulling you slowly.

Track times are nothing. Trust me on this. Weather conditions, road, alot of things come into play in a street race. Seeing as how you have a V6, you might pull him down low, but up top im sure he'd be pulling you slowly.

He bought the car with the rims, etc. The car actually had no lights AT ALL, so he bought what he liked and could afford at the time to get it on the road being that he had no car.

Not to mention he has spent plenty on getting it running right/maintenance and getting stock body parts.

true. very fair, I just feel the need to defend the car. I've spent hours helping work on this car, pretty proud of it actually. And honestly, it's still a project car, but it's come a far way. I guess posting before and after pics/specs/videos would explain a little better.
