So I got outran by a Box Chevy on 24's

Wow. What a humbling experience. Lost $100 too.

The guys that were there can tell you too... it was bad.. he got me by over a car. AND HE WAS ON 24's.

I made the mistake of giving him the hit and then leaving late thinking I would pull him in. I thought I heard a pro charger on it when he was next to me before the race but I didn't think about it. Not only did he hook up way better than me on street tire for street tire, he commenced to holding his lead. He was up by 2 cars at one point and I pulled it back to 1 but not near enough to beat him.

On the second race from a low roll I was pulling him.. but only because he was spinning so hard he blew his tire out in the middle of the road.

If it would have been a heads up race, with us both on tires I believe it would have been very close. As I said I was pulling ever so slightly at the end.... so I know I out trap him... you'd destroy him.

Do you know anything about his car? As heavy as the car is... it had to be making some major power with the pro charger. I am assuming somewhere north of 500 rwhp.

From the people I've spoken to... that car is sick. Over on street car forums I am hearing when this car leaves on slicks it yanks the 24's up in the air on the front.

I am pretty sure he was still in the gas as I was reeling him in but I could have been wrong.... I am sure its an 11 second car on slicks.

It was dumb of me to give him the jump and baby it off the line... I could have attacked the race a lot more serious but I really thought it was just a joke.

Either way 100 bucks that I lost won't even cover a third of his tire cost let alone the wheel he drug for 200 feet.
