Received in an email this morning. Give your input. Me personally I think it is messed up if it is true.

Starbucks Coffee

"Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted
to let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that
they send some of it to the troops there.

Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support
in their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor
anyone in it , and that they would not send the troops their brand of
coffee.

So as not to offend Starbucks, we should not support them by
buying any of their products. As a war vet writing to fellow patriots, I feel we
should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very
popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the
ground fighting street-to-street and house-to-house for what they and I
believe is right.

If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can
discard it and no one will never know. Thanks very much for your support of
me, and I know you'll all be there again when I deploy once more.

Semper Fidelis.

Actually the letter may be BS but their stand on war isn't. they, along with a few other major companies have taken a stand on war and have not tried to hid it in any way that they do not support it. some companies are the extreme opposite.. and others just sit in a safe neutral area as to not stir up any drama...

This link shows the falseness of the e-mail, and Starbucks support for the troops.

seriously, if it is true or not.....a company is pretty fucked up if they do not stand behind the backbone of america. The people in the military are doing their JOB....they arent allowed to say NO to what they are doing...it's not their choice. People need to understand that....it's like the whole Gaza pull out of the settlers....those soliders and policemen didnt want to do it, but they have to because it was a law put into effect by the govt that pays them...so they had to enforce it.

I think it was started by Maxwell House or Juan Valdez or something. Maybe he's a spy trying to put Starbucks out of business.
